Obituary:  Times Picayune (New Orleans, LA), 5 April 1970:  Lenius Elie Pitre Sr., on Friday, April 3, 1970, at 11:00 o'clock p.m., husband of Julian Rhodes, father of Andrew, Allen and Miller Pitre of Montegut, La., Bruce Pitre of Houma, La., Maurice Pitre, Mrs. Clarence David, and Mrs. Louis Mitchell of New Orleans, La.  Brother of Ellis Pitre, Mrs. Amanda Champagne, Mrs. Ludgar Rhodes of Houma, La. and the late Forest Pitre, also survived by 22 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren, age 91 years, a native of Terrebonne Parish.  Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral.  Services from Chauvin Funeral Home, Houma, La., on Monday, April 6, 1970 at 11 o'clock a.m.  Religious services at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Montegut, La.  Interment in Sacred Heart Cemetery.  Arrangements by Chauvin Funeral Home Inc., Houma, La.

Camille Joseph Pitre:  Houma Courier, Friday, 20 May 1960:  Friends and relatives of Camille Pitre and family of Montegut are invited to attend funeral services for Mr. Pitre to be held Friday at 8:20 a.m. from Chauvin Funeral Home.  Mr. Pitre died Wednesday, May 18 at 8:15 p.m. in Terrebonne General Hospital.  He was 59.  He will be buried in Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery in Montegut after a requiem high mass in the church, beginning at 9 a.m.  He is survived by his widow, the former Pearl Picou; a son (his father), Elie of Montegut; and two daughters, Mrs. Joyce Ruiz of Cut Off and June Pitre of Montegut.  He was the father (sic son) of the late Julian Rhodes of Montegut.  Mr. Pitre was the brother of Andrew, Sr., Allen and Miller Pitre of Montegut, Bruce Pitre Sr. of Houma, Maurice Pitre of New Orleans, Mrs. Leola David of Metairie and Mrs. Rose Mary Michel of Kenner.  Mr. Pitre was a member of the Holy Name Society and the Montegut Fire Department.  Falgout Funeral Home of Raceland was in charge of arrangements.

Andrew Joseph Pitre:  Lafourche Daily Comet, March 1998:  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Montegut for Andrew Joseph Pitre, 95, a native and resident of Montegut, who died at 11 p.m. March 28, 1998.  Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. today and 8 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Montegut Fire Station.  Burial will be at the church cemetery.  He was the father of Norval and Gerald Pitre, both of Montegut, Andrew Pitre Jr. of Bourg, Charles Pitre of Houma and Mona Pitre Stouffled of Montegut; brother of Allen Pitre of Montegut and Leola Pitre David of Metairie.  He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Prosperie Pitre; parents, Elie "Lee" and Julienne Rhodes Pitre; brothers, Camile, Miller, Bruce and Maurice Pitre; sisters, Oreanna and Rosemary Pitre.  He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  He was an employee of Texaco, Inc. and worked at the Houma warehouse.  Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of arrangements.

Dale, of Slidell; one sister, Leola "Nin" David of Metairie; 9 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Iola Blanchard Pitre; his parents, Elie and Julienne Rhodes Pitre; five brothers, Camille, Bruce, Miller, Andrew and Maurice "Charlie" Pitre; and two sisters, Rosemary Michel and Oriana Pitre.

Pitre Sr. of Houma, Donald J. and Wayne M. Bruce Joseph Pitre:  Bruce Joseph Pitre Sr., a resident of 1611 Tunnel Blvd., died at 2:50 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 22 at Terrebonne General Hospital at the age of 65.  He was a retired truck driver for Texaco.  Visitation at Chauvin Funeral Home begins at 4 p.m., Friday, Aug. 25 and will continue until 11 p.m., resuming from 8 a.m., Saturday until funeral time.  Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 27 at the funeral home chapel, followed by interment in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.  He is survived by three sons, Barry and Dana Pitre, both of Houma and Bruce Pitre Jr. of the Philippines; three brothers, Allen, Miller and Andrew Pitre Sr., all of Montegut; one sister, Mrs. Clarence David of New Orleans and six grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by two brothers, Camille and Maurice Pitre and one sister, Mrs. Rose Mae Mitchell.  Arrangements are being handled by Chauvin Funeral Home.

Leola Marie Pitre:  The New Orleans Advocate (LA), Tuesday, 18 April 2017:  Leola Pitre David, age 100, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017.  Beloved wife of the late Clarence E. David.  Mother of Linda Ann David Young, Claire Marie David Noveh, Sheridan "Deanie" Ann David Avants, Sandra Ann David Klein and mother-in-law of Louis J. Klein, III.  Grandmother of Elizabeth Young Teachworth, Billy Young, Michael Young, Daniel David Noveh, Donna Noveh Cooper, Kevin Duane Noveh, Dawn Marie Avants Royes, Louis John Klein and Laurie Ann Klein Robertson.  She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.  Sister of the late Camille Pitre, Andrew Pitre, Allen Pitre, Miller Pitre, Rose Pitre Michel, Bruce Pitre, Charlie Pitre and Oriena Pitre.  She was a native of Montegut, LA, a lifelong resident of Metairie, LA and a parishioner of St. Francis Xavier Church.  A Funeral Mass will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Garden of Memories Funeral Home in Metairie, LA.  Visitation will begin at 11:30 a.m.  Interment will be in Chapel of Eternal Faith located in Garden of Memories Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Susan G. Komen New Orleans, LA or to St. Joseph Hospice, Harahan, LA.

Maurice Joseph Pitre:  Maurice Joseph Pitre, a native of Montegut and a resident of New Orleans, died Thursday, Sept. 8.  He was 57.  Visitation at the Montegut Fire Station is now in progress and will continue until funeral time.  Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 10 at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Montegut, followed by interment in the Sacred Heart cemetery.  He is survived by four brothers, Andrew, Allen and Miller Pitre, all of Montegut and Bruce Pitre of Houma and one sister, Mrs. Clarence (Leola) David of Marrero.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Elie Pitre and Julian Rhodes; one brother, Camille Pitre and one sister, Rose Mary Michel.  Arrangements are being handled by Chauvin Funeral Home.
