Obituary:  Houma Courier (LA), Friday, 20 May 1960:  Friends and relatives of Camille Pitre and family of Montegut are invited to attend funeral services for Mr. Pitre to be held Friday at 8:20 a.m. from Chauvin Funeral Home.  Mr. Pitre died Wednesday, May 18 at 8:15 p.m. in Terrebonne General Hospital.  He was 59.  He will be buried in Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery in Montegut after a requiem high mass in the church, beginning at 9 a.m.  He is survived by his widow, the former Pearl Picou; a son (his father), Elie of Montegut; and two daughters, Mrs. Joyce Ruiz of Cut Off and June Pitre of Montegut.  He was the father (sic son) of the late Julian Rhodes of Montegut.  Mr. Pitre was the brother of Andrew, Sr., Allen and Miller Pitre of Montegut, Bruce Pitre Sr. of Houma, Maurice Pitre of New Orleans, Mrs. Leola David of Metairie and Mrs. Rose Mary Michel of Kenner.  Mr. Pitre was a member of the Holy Name Society and the Montegut Fire Department.  Falgout Funeral Home of Raceland was in charge of arrangements.

Obituary:  Houma Courier (LA), 9 November 2001:  Pearl Picou Pitre, age 91, a native of Little Caillou and resident of Montegut, died at 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2001.  Funeral held today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Montegut with burial in the church cemetery.  Survived by two daughters, Mrs. Norman (Joyce Pitre) Callais and June Evelyn Marie Pitre, both of Cut Off; two half-brothers, Felton Picou of Seattle, Wash., and Ray Picou of Houma; one sister, Ruby Picou LeBoeuf of Montegut; three half-sisters, Miriam P. Brossette of New Orleans, Rona P. Rodrigue of Houma, and Rhea P. Voisin of Dulac; two grandchildren, Dr. Camille Jude Callais Pitre and husband, Rep. Loulan Pitre Jr., and Lea Marie Callais; and two great-grandchildren, Emile Camille Pitre and Mathieu Jude Pitre.  Preceded in death by her husband, Camile Joseph Pitre; her parents, Elam and Clothilde Hebert Picou; one brother, Houston Picou; four half-brothers, Roland, Wilbur, Corbert and Noel Picou; two sisters, Emily Savoie and Ester LeBoeuf; and two half-sisters, Helen Bellanger and Bonnie Belle Fitch.  Parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  Samart Funeral Home.

Joyce Rita Pitre:  Houma Courier (LA), 18 November 2007: Joyce Rita Pitre Callais, 76, a native of Montegut and a resident of Cut Off, died at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, 2007.  Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.  She is survived by her husband, Norman Joseph Callais; two daughters, Camille Jude Callais Pitre and Lea Marie Callais; one sister, June Evelyn Marie Pitre; and three grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Camile Joseph Pitre and Pearl Mary Picou Pitre.  She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  Samart-Mothe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

June Evelyn Marie Pitre:  Lafourche Daily Comet (LA):  June Evelyn Marie Pitre, 81, a native of Montegut and resident of Cut Off passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2014.  Visitation will be held at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Montegut on Thursday, December 18, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. with burial in Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church cemetery in Montegut.  She is survived by her nieces, Camille Callais Pitre Naquin and husband Gregory, Lea Marie Callais Najor and husband William; brother-in-law, Norman Joseph Callais; great nieces and nephews, Emilie Pitre, Mathieu Pitre, Camille Ana Najor.  She was preceded in death by her father, Camille Joseph Pitre; mother, Pearl Mary Picou Pitre; sister, Joyce Pitre Callais.  Dear Aunt June was loved by her family, friends and co-workers at Lady of the Sea General Hospital, where she worked as a nurse anesthetist from 1958 until 1992.  She brought joy and smiles to others with her infections giggles and helped heal countless wounds inside and out.  Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
