Obituary: 5 July 1989: Miller Joseph Pitre, 80, a native of Terrebonne Parish and a resident of Montegut, died at 1:15 a.m. today. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. until funeral time Thursday at the Montegut Fire Station. Funeral services will be held Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. For funeral time, call Chauvin Funeral Home. He is survived by his wife, Lillian LeBoeuf Pitre; three sons, Gene J. Pitre Sr. of Houma, Donald J. and Wayne M. Pitre, both of Bourg; a daughter, Mrs. Arthur (Carol Ann) Allemand of Bourg; two brothers, Andrew Sr. and Allen 'Gator' Pitre, both of Montegut; a sister, Mrs. Leola David of New Orleans; 16 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Obituary: Lillian Blanche LeBouef Pitre, 81, a native of Little Caillou and a resident of Montegut, died at noon Wednesday, June 3, 1992. Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to funeral time at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Montegut. A Mass will be at 10 a.m. at the church with interment in the church cemetery. She is survived by two sons, Gene Pitre of Houma, Donald and Wayne M. Pitre of Montegut; one daughter, Carol Ann Allemond of Bourg; one brother, Bruce LeBouef of Houma; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Miller J. Pitre; her parents, Valerie and Julie Dupre LeBouef; and five brothers, Skerley, Walter, Hurley, John and Willis LeBouef. She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
