Obituary:  Bruce Joseph Pitre Sr., a resident of 1611 Tunnel Blvd., died at 2:50 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 22 at Terrebonne General Hospital at the age of 65.  He was a retired truck driver for Texaco.  Visitation at Chauvin Funeral Home begins at 4 p.m., Friday, Aug. 25 and will continue until 11 p.m., resuming from 8 a.m., Saturday until funeral time.  Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 27 at the funeral home chapel, followed by interment in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.  He is survived by three sons, Barry and Dana Pitre, both of Houma and Bruce Pitre Jr. of the Philippines; three brothers, Allen, Miller and Andrew Pitre Sr., all of Montegut; one sister, Mrs. Clarence David of New Orleans and six grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by two brothers, Camille and Maurice Pitre and one sister, Mrs. Rose Mae Mitchell.  Arrangements are being handled by Chauvin Funeral Home.

Barry Joseph Pitre:  Lafourche Daily Comet (LA), 20 July 2006:  Barry Joseph Pitre Sr., 64, a native of Houma and resident of Oklahoma City, died Wednesday, July 19, 2006.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.  He is survived by his wife, Lois Pitre of Oklahoma; his mother, Victoria G. Champagne of Houma; two sons, Barry J. Pitre Jr. of California and Breck M. Pitre of Florida; one daughter, Shawn P. Carlos of Houma; two brothers, Bruce Joseph Pitre Jr. and wife, Joy Landry Pitre, and Dana Stephen Pitre and wife, Cheryl Hebert Pitre, all of Houma; six grandchildren, Jessica Pitre, Anya Pitre, Alexander Pitre, Alyse Green, Cheyenne Pitre and Brandon Pitre; and one great-grandchild.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Bruce Joseph Pitre Sr.; his stepfather, Russell Champagne; one son-in-law, Dana Joseph Carlos; and his grandparents, Elie and Julienne Pitre and Mitch and Eugenie Gautreaux.  He was a retired truck driver and was a U.S. Army veteran.  He enjoyed his family, target shooting and his cat, Squeaky.  He was Catholic.

Pitre Jr., 63, a native and resident of Houma, died Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2008.  Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Samart Funeral Home of Houma.  Religious service will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.  He is survived by his wife, Joy Landry Pitre; his mother, Victoria Champagne; one son, Brian A. Pitre; one daughter, Michelle A. Pitre; one stepson, James E. Miles III; one stepdaughter, Kristin Pregeant; one brother, Dana S. Pitre; and five grandchildren, Brian Pitre Jr., Brandon Ward, Alisa Miles and Evan and Julia Pregeant.  He was preceded in death by his father, Bruce Pitre Sr.; his stepfather, Russell Champagne; and one brother, Barry J. Pitre.  Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of arrangements.
