Fontenot of 8021 Neville, will be held Wednesday at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Church in Ville Platte, La.  Burial will follow in the Old City Cemetery. Mrs. died Sunday in Hitchcock.  Local arrangements are under direction of Hayes Funeral Home in Hitchcock.  Born in Opelousas, La., Mrs. Fontenot was a three year resident of Hitchcock.  She was a former resident of Ville Platte, La. and a member of the Catholic Church.  Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Elwin Fontenot of Hitchcock; a sister, Viola Pietre of Ville Platte, La.; two brothers, Dennis Pietre and Latelle Pietre of Ville Platte, La.; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Carmel Catholic Church in Chataignier for Willie Pitre, 63, a resident of Opelousas but formerly of Chataignier.  Burial was in the Evangeline Memorial Cemetery in Ville Platte directed by Ardoin's Funeral Home.  Survivors include his widow, the former Ada Manuel; one son, Howard W. Pitre of Ville Platte; one daughter Lemin Long of Baton Rouge; three brothers: Dennis and Littel Pitre of Mamou; Dudly Pitre of West Lake; and one half-brother Able Granger of Plaquemine; one sister, Mrs. Robert Hebert of Port Allen; also one great-grandchild and two great-great grandchildren.

Vina Pitre:  Advocate (Baton Rouge, LA), Friday, 24 July 1998:  Vina Pitre Hebert - A resident of Plaquemine, she died at 3 a.m. Thursday, July 23, 1998, at River West Medical Center, Plaquemine.  She was 89 and a native of Crowley.  Visiting at Wilbert Funeral Home, Port Allen, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, with recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m.  Visiting at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Brusly, 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Saturday, celebrated by the Rev. Eric Gyan.  Interment in church cemetery.  Survived by three stepdaughters, Ann Martin, Verna Lee and husband, Milton Altazan, all of Brusly, and Catherine Cannon, St. Amant; two stepsons and their wives, Wilfred and Rose Mary Altazan Hebert and Robert and Darlene Beck Hebert, all of Brusly; two nieces, Teeny Granger Brown, Plaquemine, and Verna Mae Pousson, Basile; and sisters-in-law, Jane S. Granger, Port Allen, and Octavia, Lula, Nell and Lucille Pitre.  Preceded in death by husband, Robert Hebert Sr.; parents; six brothers, Abel Granger, Willie, Dudley, Dan, Letell and Leonard Pitre; and two sisters, Mary St. Romain and Clara Guillory.

Leonard Pitre:  Daily World (Opelousas, LA), Thursday, 22 May 1969:  Lake Charles - Catholic church funeral services were to be held this morning in Lake Charles for Leonard Pitre, 58, a native of Evangeline Parish and a long-time resident here, who died Tuesday night in a nursing home.  Pitre was a retired carpenter, employed for many years by a construction company here.  He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lanell Wade Pitre; two daughters, Mrs. Sandra Hardee of Conway, S.C., and Miss Debbie Pitre of Lake Charles; four brothers, Willie Pitre of Chataignier, Dennis and Littel Pitre of Mamou, Dudley Pitre of Westlake; a half-brother, Abel Granger of Plaquemine; four sisters, Mrs. Clara Guillory of Mamou, Mrs. Vina Donaldson and Mrs. Monia Fontenot of Lake Charles, and Mrs. Mary St. Romain of White Castle, and four grandchildren.

Dennis Pitre:  Daily World (Opelousas), Sunday, 28 March 1982:  Mamou - Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at St. Ann's Catholic Church for Mr. Dennis "Dan" Pitre, 69, a Mamou retired farmer.  Mr. Pitre died at 4:45 p.m. Friday, at Savoy Memorial Hospital.  Burial will be at the new St. Ann's Mausoleum.  Arrangements were made by Ardoin's Funeral Home of Mamou.  Survivors include his wife, Lula Pearl Duplechain Pitre; a son, Clyde Pitre of Baton Rouge; a daughter, Mrs. Ralph Callie Avera of Baton Rouge; a half-brother, Abel Granger of Plaquemine; one sister and two half-sisters, Mrs. Vena Hebert of Brussley, Mrs. Clara Guillory of Mamou, and Mrs. Mart St. Romaine of White Castle; and six grandchildren.
