Union of America:  Whereas, the great and Supreme Ruler of the universe has in his infinite wisdom removed from among us, one of our worthy members and esteemed brother, Madison Pitre, who departed from this world on Feb'y 21st, 1910, at the age of 52 years.  Brother Pitre was a member of the committee on the good of the order, was punctual in attending our local meetings, faithfully discharging his duties.  He leaves a wife and 5 children to mourn his sad demise.  Resolved, That the sudden removal of such a life from among us, leaves a vacancy and a shadow that will be deeply realized by all the members and friends of this organization, and will prove a serious loss to this local and community.  Resolved, That with deep sympathy with the bereaved family of our brother we express our hope that even so great a loss to us all may be overruled for good by Him who doeth all things well.  Resolved, That a copy of these resolutions be spread upon the minutes of this local and that a special page be devoted to their use, that one copy be sent to the local papers, and a copy forwarded to the bereaved family.  Resolved further, That our Charter be draped in mourning for thirty days, and that all members of this local wear the usual badge of mourning for the same period of time.  J.F. Vidrine, Frances Pitre, E.M. Dupre, Committee.
