ObituaryDaily World (Opelousas), Thursday, 23 October 1980:  Mamou - Last rites will be held at 9 a.m. Friday in St. Ann Catholic Church here for Littel Pitre, 64, a resident of Mamou, who died at his residence Wednesday following a short illness.  Burial will be in the new St. Ann Cemetery and directed by Ardoin Funeral Home of Mamou.  Survivors include his wife, Octavia Berzas of Mamou; three sons, Floyd, Richard and Carlos Pitre, all of Baton Rouge; one brother, Dennis Pitre of Mamou; one half-brother, Abel Granger of Plaquemine; three half-sisters, Vince Hebert of Plaquemine, Clara Lafleur of Mamou and Marie St. Romain of White Castle; and four grandchildren.

Obituary:  Daily World (Opelousas, LA), Sunday, 23 March 2008:  Mamou - Funeral services for Mrs. Octavia (Berzas) Pitre, 88, will be held Tuesday, time pending, at St. Ann's Catholic Church here with burial to follow in the church cemetery.  Mrs. Pitre, a native of Mamou and resident of Baton Rouge, died at 9:15 p.m. Friday, March 21, 2008, at the Flannery Oaks Nursing home in Baton Rouge.  Ardoin's Funeral Home of Mamou is in charge of arrangements.

Floyd Littel Pitre:  The Eunice News (Eunice, LA), Thursday, 8 September 1994:  Baton Rouge - Funeral services were held at St. Alphonsus Liguori Catholic Church in Baton Rouge at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 6, for Floyd Littel Pitre, 55, with burial following in Greenoaks Memorial Park Cemetery.  Mr. Pitre, a resident of Baton Rouge died at 11:35 a.m. Friday, September 2, 1994, at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Bremerton, Washington.  Mr. Pitre was a retired employee of Capital City Press in Baton Rouge.  He was a native of Mamou, and a parishioner of St. Alphonsus Liguori Catholic Church, The National Fraternal Society of the Deaf, The Louisiana Acadian Association of the Deaf and Blind, and the Louisiana Bass Club.  Survivors include his wife, Antonia Chatelain Pitre of Baton Rouge, his mother, Octavia Pitre of Watson, two daughters, Debra Langlois of Prairieville and Cherie Pitre of Baton Rouge, two brothers, Richard Pitre of Watson and Carlos Pitre of Brusly, and two grandchildren, Kimberly and Aaron Langlois.  He is preceded in death by his father, Littel Pitre.  The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.  Greenoaks Funeral Home of Baton Rouge was in charge of arrangements.
