Obituary:  Daily World (Opelousas), Thursday, 22 May 1969:  Lake Charles - Catholic church funeral services were to be held this morning in Lake Charles for Leonard Pitre, 58, a native of Evangeline Parish and a long-time resident here, who died Tuesday night in a nursing home.  Pitre was a retired carpenter, employed for many years by a construction company here.  He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lanell Wade Pitre; two daughters, Mrs. Sandra Hardee of Conway, S.C., and Miss Debbie Pitre of Lake Charles; four brothers, Willie Pitre of Chataignier, Dennis and Littel Pitre of Mamou, Dudley Pitre of Westlake; a half-brother, Abel Granger of Plaquemine; four sisters, Mrs. Clara Guillory of Mamou, Mrs. Vina Donaldson and Mrs. Monia Fontenot of Lake Charles, and Mrs. Mary St. Romain of White Castle, and four grandchildren.
