Alice enjoyed a full life and traveling around the country with her husband. Preceded in death by her parents and her brothers and sisters Walt, Al, Bill, Floyd, Freddy, Stella, Margaret and Lucille. Survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation: Family will receive friends on Wednesday June 5, 2002, from noon until the 1 PM Memorial Service in Barr Brothers Handevidt Funeral Home, Cloquet. A time of fellowship and refreshments will follow the service in Funeral Home reception room. Private interment in Maple Grove Cemetery. Arrangements with Barr Brothers-Handevidt Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
Walter Peters: Duluth News Tribune (MN), 22 November 2000: Walter Peters, 88, of Proctor passed away Monday, Nov. 20, 2000, in St. Mary's Medical Center. He was born in Cloquet to Joseph and Helen Peters. He was a pipefitter and a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union Local 11. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church, an avid fisherman, outdoorsman and more recently enjoyed painting. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Terrance; and several brothers and sisters. Walter is survived by his wife of 65 years, Rose; daughters Mary Brice and Sue Beecher, both of Seattle and Maureen (Ron) Crews of Orlando, Fla.; sons Gary (Loretta) of Clovis, Calif., Timothy (Nellie) of Duluth, Philip (Sue) of Rockridge, Minn., Kevin (Kim) of Ada, Minn., Tom (Laurie) of Brooklyn Park, Minn., Richard, Anthony and David, all of Duluth; sisters Alice and Lucille; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation: 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral Mass Friday in St. James Catholic Church, with the Rev. Father John Golobich officiating. Burial in Calvary Cemetery.
