Obituary:  The Duluth News Tribune (Duluth, MN), Wednesday, 26 January 1972:  Floyd Peters, 57, Cloquet, died Monday in a Duluth hospital.  He was a Northwest Paper Co. employee.  Surviving are his wife, Marie; two daughters, Cheryl and Margaret, Cloquet; a stepson, James Eberius, Cloquet; his mother, Mrs. Helen Crook, Cloquet; three brothers, Albert and Frederick, Cloquet, and Walter, Duluth, and four sisters, Mrs. William Ervin and Mrs. Ray Shea, Spokane, Wash.; Mrs. Eddie Ervin, Washougal, Wash., and Mrs. John Morgrette, Pensville, Ind.  Military rites will be at 9 a.m. Thursday in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church.  Arrangements are by Barr Brothers Funeral Home.

Obituary:  The Duluth News Tribune (Duluth, MN), Friday, 29 August 2008:  (photo)  Marie 'Bea' Theresa Peters, 92, of Cloquet, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2008 at Cloquet Community Memorial Hospital.  She was born Aug. 25, 1916 in Brainerd, Minn., to John and Mary (Schumacher) Schmitz and was raised in Gordon, Wis.  Marie worked as a cook and baker for numerous restaurants and doctors in the area including the Skyline Cafe which she managed, the Coney Island, Golden Gate, Copper Skillet and Rudy's Restaurant.  She was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church, also enjoyed painting and fishing, especially at Mille Lacs Lake.  Marie was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Herman Eberius and Floyd Peters; one sister, Theresa Watson; and two grandsons, Loren and Christian DeMenge.  She is survived by one son, Jim Eberius of Virginia, Minn.; two daughters, Cheri (Stan) DeMenge of Cloquet and Margie (Scott) Harter of Portage, Mich.; one sister, Agnes Dye of Cloquet; 10 grandchildren, Michele Salinas, Jean Ervin, Tanya Saunders, Maureen Lindberg, Melissa DeMenge, Christina Simmer, Kelly Berthiaume, Stacy Vigliaturo, Eric Harter and Greg Harter; 18 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
