Obituary:  Daily Monitor (Mt. Clemens, MI), Monday, 19 May 1941:  Mary Ann Peters, 78, wife of the late Alfred Peters, passed away at 2 p.m. yesterday at her home 7230 Engleman, Center Line, after an illness of several weeks.  Mrs. Peters was a resident of Warren township for the past 75 years.  She was the mother of Frederick G. Peters, member of the Center Line council.  Her husband was a farmer and real estate agent.  Surviving, besides her son Frederick, are five sons, Wilfred, Christopher, Albert, Leo, and Urban; and three daughters, Mrs. Henry Halmich, Mrs. George Freidhoff, and Mrs. Lawrence Hoste.  A seventh son, Clement T. Peters died not long ago.  Also surviving are 44 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.  Funeral services will be held from the home Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. and at 9 a.m. from the St. Clements church, Rev. A. J. Mayer officiating.  Burial will be at the Mount Olivet cemetery under the direction of the Sperlich Funeral Home.

Urban Andrew Peters:  Ventura County Star (Ventura, CA), Monday, 20 June 1983:  Rosary for Urban A. Peters, 80, Ventura, will be recited at 7:30 tonight at the Joseph P. Reardon Funeral Chapel, Ventura.  Mass will be said at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, with the Rev. Arnold Beidermann officiating.  Burial will be in Santa Clara Cemetery.  Mr. Peters died Saturday in an Oxnard hospital after a lengthy illness.  He was born May 10, 1903, in Warren, Mich., and came to Oxnard in 1948.  He built and operated a motel, service station and C.J.'s Hamburger Stand at Rice Road and the Ventura Freeway.  He was a member of Our lady of the Assumption Church, Ventura, and the Oxnard Knights of Columbus.  Mr. Peters is survived by his wife Margaret; daughters Mrs. Herbert Whelchel of Ventura, Mrs. David Barrett of Camarillo, and Mrs. Pliny Mier of Somis; sons Clifford J. of Ventura, Donald F. of Sunnyvale, Charles E. of Ventura, and Richard L. of San Francisco; sister Marie Hoste of Warren, Mich.; 26 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
