Rosemary Peters:  The Argus Press (Owosso, MI), Sunday, 25 September 2011:  Rosemary Braidwood, age 81, of Owosso, passed away Friday, Sept. 23, 2011, at Oliver Woods Retirement Center.  A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2011, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Durand with Jeffry Poll officiating. The family will receive friends at Nelson-House Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday.  Rosemary was born on May 28, 1930, in Romeo, the daughter of Albert and Stella (Freidhoff) Peters.  She enjoyed gardening her flowers and vegetables, cooking and sewing.  Rosemary looked forward to family gatherings.  She was always willing to help others.  On Sept. 22, 1956, she married George Braidwood Sr. at St. Clement of Rome Church in Romeo.  He predeceased her on March 27, 2009.  Rosemary was a homemaker, raising and taking care of her children.  She is survived by her son George (Annie) Braidwood II of Owosso; daughter Mary Beth (Terry) Raubacher of Romeo; grandchildren Christopher and Laura Raubacher and Greg, Patrick and Eric Braidwood; and sisters Marian Holmes of Shelby Township and Eileen Comps of Oakland Township.  Rosemary is predeceased by her husband George, three brothers and one sister.  Memorial contributions are suggested to Memorial Healthcare Hospice. 

 

Laura Ann Peters:  The Times Herald (Port Huron, MI), Thursday, 27 September 1979:  Marysville - Laura Socha, 45, of 711 Washington, died Thursday, Sept. 27, 1979, in Mercy Hospital after a lengthy illness.  She was born May 5, 1934, in Center Line, and lived in Marysville 18 years.  She married David R. Socha April 8, 1961, in Romeo.  Mrs. Socha attended schools in Romeo.  She was active in the Boy Scout Troop 215 and the Cub Scout program.  She was a parishioner of St. Christopher's Catholic Church.  She is survived by her husband; four sons, Steven D., Dennis D., Bradley J. and Randall T., all of Marysville; two brothers, Vincent Peters, Dearborn, and Gerald Peters, Gaylord; and three sisters, Marion Holmes, Utica; Eileen Comps, Rochester, Mich., and Rosemary Braidwood, Romeo.  Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Christopher's Church.  The Rev. Joseph P. McElgunn, pastor, will officiate.  Burial will be in Riverlawn Cemetery.  Visiting hours in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home are 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.  A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.

Alfred George Peters:  Grand Rapids Press (Grand Rapids, MI), Saturday, 17 October 1959:  Car Strikes Tree, Romeo Man Dies:  Romeo - Alfred G. Peters, 23, of Romeo, was killed Saturday when his car swerved off a road four miles east of Romeo and hit a tree.
