Obituary:  The Pontiac Press (Pontiac, MI), Tuesday, 14 September 1965:  Milford Township - Service for Christopher A. Peters, 81, of 2246 Commerce will be 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Milford.  Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Detroit.  Rosary will be at 8:45 p.m. Thursday at the Richardson-Bird Funeral Home, Milford.  Mr. Peters died yesterday after a long illness.  A retired carpenter, he was a member of St. (missing line).  Surviving are two sons, Howard and Russell, both of Milford; one daughter, Mrs. Edward Songrath of Wallingford, Pa.; one brother; two sisters; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Obituary:  The Pontiac Press (Pontiac, MI), Wednesday, 27 June 1962:  Union Lake - Services for Mrs. Christopher A. (Margaret A.) Peters, 73, of 8553 Cooley Drive, will be 10 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, with burial to follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Detroit.  Mrs. Peters died yesterday at Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital after an illness of eight months.  Surviving besides her husband are two sons, Russell A. and Howard A., both of Milford; a daughter, Mrs. Edward Songrath of Wallingford, Pa.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.  Rosary will be said at 8 p.m. tomorrow at Donelson-Johns Funeral Home, Pontiac.

(Susan) Agnew, brother of Russell Peters and Virginia Songrath, also survived by four grandchildren.  Friends may visit at Richardson-Bird & Lynch Funeral Home, Milford, after 6 p.m. Tuesday until 5 p.m. Wednesday and at St. Mary's Church, Milford until 9 p.m. Wednesday.  Scripture Service Wednesday evening 8 p.m. at church.  Funeral from St. Mary's Church, Milford Thursday, 11 a.m.  Burial Milford Memorial Cemetery.

Royal Peters:  The Detroit News (Detroit, MI), Wednesday, 18 March 1925:  Peters - March 16, 1925, Royal, age 16 years, beloved son of Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Peters; dear brother of Howard, Russell and Virginia.  Funeral from parents' residence, 4156 Seminole, Friday, March 20, at 8:30 a.m., at St. Catherine's Church at 9 o'clock.

 

Russell Alfred Peters:  St. Louis Post-Dispatch (MO), Friday, 1 September 2000:  Russell A. Peters, 88, of O'Fallon, died Wednesday (Aug. 30, 2000) at St. Luke's Hospital in Chesterfield.  Mr. Peters was a retired manager from Ford Motor Co. in Wixom, Mich., where he had worked for 20 years.  He served in World War II with the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1945.  He also was a member of Knights of Columbus and American Legion Post 5077 in O'Fallon.  No visitation was planned.  A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at Assumption Catholic Church, 115 West Third Street, O'Fallon.  The body will be cremated.  Among survivors are a daughter, Nancy Playford of O'Fallon, and three grandchildren.  Memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association.

 

Virginia Theresa Peters:  The Tustin News (Tustin, CA), Thursday, 14 August 1986:  Services were Aug. 8 for Virginia Theresa Songrath who died Aug. 5 at Western Medical Hospital.  Born Dec. 18, 1916, Mrs. Songrath resided 21 years in Tustin.  She is survived by her husband, Edward; son, Ron, of Tustin; and brother, Russell Peters of Michigan.  Funeral mass was celebrated at St. Cecilia Catholic Church with inurnment at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Orange.  Saddleback Chapel directed arrangements.
