Obituary: Herald Recorder (Potsdam NY): Friday 27 December 1946: Services were conducted in St. Mary's church, Potsdam, Monday morning for William Frank Lashomb, 84, Star Route, Potsdam, who died in Elm Street hospital Friday afternoon. Born in Brasher Falls, he was a son of the late Frank and Emma Currier Lashomb and for many years had been a farmer who retired in the late thirties. His wife, the former Miss Anna Harriman, died in May, 1938. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Carey (Jessie) Eddy of Watertown; Mrs. Fred (Lottie) Sutherland, Allston, Mass.; Mrs. William (Mildred) Hoover, Poughkeepsie; Mrs. Allie (Gladys) Foss, Lancaster, N. H., and Mrs. Claude (Anna) Hodgkins [sic sister], Watertown and four sons, Hubert, Potsdam; Guy and Leon, Norfolk, and Arthur Lashomb, Watertown; 47 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Hodgkins were residents of Winthrop in the teen years.

Obituary: Norwood News (NY), Wednesday 11 May 1938: Mrs. Anna Lashomb Services Held Monday – Mrs. Anna Harriman Lashomb, 68, died Saturday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Carey Eddy in Main Street, Potsdam, after a long illness. Death was caused by coronary thrombosis. Mrs. Lashomb was married to William Lashomb 48 years ago at Brasher. Besides her husband she is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Eddy, Mrs. Clement Martin of Norwood, Mrs. Allie Foss, of Lancaster, N. H., and Mrs. Fred Sutherland of Brighton, Mass; and four sons, Guy, Leon and Hubert, all of Norfolk, and Arthur of Canton. There are 56 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services were conducted at 10 a.m. Monday in. St. Mary's church by Rev. Robert Farmer, assistant pastor. Burial in St. Mary’s cemetery.

Mr. Hodgkins, a World War I veteran and a retired cabinet maker, died in May, 1967, in Mercy Hospital at the age of 78. Mrs. Hodgkins had been a member of Sacred Heart Church, its Altar and Rosary Society and Catholic Daughters of America.

Jessie Lashomb: Watertown Daily Times (NY), Tuesday, 8 April 1969: Mrs. Jessie M. Eddy, 78, of 1005 Superior St., widow of Carey W. Eddy, died this morning at 12:45 in the Mercy Hospital, where she had been a patient most of the time since November. The funeral will be Thursday morning at 8:30 from the Simpson Funeral Home and at 9 in the Sacred Heart School gymnasium. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 9 and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Surviving her are six children, Carl V. Eddy, Deferiet, Gerald J. Eddy, Van Etten, N.Y., Wayne A. Her husband died here Dec. 26, 1951, at the age of 66. Mrs. Eddy entered the hospital after suffering a stroke in November, returning there a week ago today from the Hillcrest Nursing Home, Adams, where she had been a patient six weeks. Mrs. Eddy was born in the town of Brasher Sept. 16, 1890, a daughter of William F. and Annie Harriman Lashomb. She was married to Carey W. Eddy of Rodman Aug. 18, 1910, at Norfolk. Mr. and Mrs. Eddy lived in Watertown immediately after their marriage later in Groveton, N.H., and then in Potsdam. After 25 years in Potsdam, they returned to Watertown about 1944. For a time they also lived in Maine and in Massena. Mrs. Eddy was a member of the Sacred Heart Church and of Court Little Flower, Catholic Daughters of America.

Mr. Lashomb died Saturday, May 31, 1980, in the A. Barton Hepburn Hospital. He has been a self-employed carpenter and mason most of his life until retirement. He was a member of St. Mary's Church, Potsdam.

Guy Gilbert Lashomb: Massena Observer (NY), Monday 14 March
1949: Guy LaShomb Dies Suddenly At His Home: Guy LaShomb, 53, a
restaurant proprietor in Massena for 11 years, died very suddenly at 8:15 Sunday
morning, Mar. 13, 1949, at his home on the Plumbrook Rd. He was stricken
with a fatal heart attack just as he was ready to come to church services in
Massena. He had been failing for the past two months. He was born
Nov. 13. 1895, at Brasher Falls, a son of William and Anna Harriman LaShomb.
He attended schools in Brasher Falls and Norwood. Enlisting in the U. S. Army on
July 11, 1918, during World War 1, he was graduated from a cooks’ and bakers'
school at Camp Dix, N. J. He served in the army nine months. He was
a custodian of Pine Grove School, then a watchman at the aluminum plant, before
going into the restaurant business. He operated Guy's Diner at the corner
of Park Ave. and Beach St. for 11 years. Mr. LaShomb and Miss Ethel
LaComb, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter LaComb, were married
in the old Sacred Heart Church on May 6, 1918 by the Rev. Benjamin H. Staie,
then assistant pastor. For some years they lived on South Main St.
Surviving are his wife; five daughters, Mrs. Lloyd (Virginia) Goodrich,
Mrs. Howard (Thelma) Durant, Kay, Marie and Mary Jane LaShomb, all living
at home; seven sons, Robert of the Massena-Winthrop Rd., Harold of
Massena, Donald of Route 2, Norfolk, Raymond of Carthage,
Lawrence, who is with the U. S. Army on Guam, Leo of Massena, Carl
at home. Also surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Carey Eddy,
Watertown, Mrs. Fred Sutherland, Boston, Mrs. Allie Foss,
Lancaster, N. H., and Mrs. William Hover, Saranac Lake; three brothers,
Hubert of Potsdam, Arthur of Watertown and Leo of
Grantville; three grandchildren, Sandra and Dale LaShomb and Donna Durant.
Mr. LaShomb was a member of Massena Post 79, American Legion, the Father's
Club of the VFW and of the Moose. F uneral services will be Wednesday morning at
10 o'clock at Sacred Heart Church. The body will remain at the Phillips
Memorial Home until the hour of the funeral.

Arthur Vincent Lashomb: The Syracuse Post Standard (NY), Sunday, 5 December 2010: Arthur Vincent LaShomb Jr., 79, died Wednesday, November 24, at St. Joseph's Hospital. Born in Potsdam, he was the son of Arthur and Lucia (Byers) LaShomb. He retired from Crucible Steel after 43 years of service and was a Korean War veteran. He was a member of VFW Post 2893 and Crucible Steel Retirement Club. He was predeceased by his wife, Joan Colomb LaShomb, in 2007. Arthur is survived by his sons, Arthur James (Leta) LaShomb of Syracuse and Christian Vincent (Lora) LaShomb of Syracuse; his daughter, Susan (Fran) Talaber of Oswego; 10 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours or services. Private burial will be in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Veterans Administration Medical Center, Voluntary Services Office, 800 Irving Avenue, Syracuse, NY 13210. Mildred Lashomb: Plattsburgh Press (NY), Wednesday, 14 June 1995, Wilmington: Mildred V. Light, 89, of Wilmington died Tuesday, June 13, 1995, at the Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake. She was born in Brasher Falls, Feb. 4, 1906, the daughter of William and Anna Lashomb. Mrs. Light was a beautician for 50 years at salons in Norwood, Schenectady, Saranac Lake and at her home on Whiteface Mountain Road in Wilmington. Survivors include a son, Edward McDougall of Florida; a daughter, Kathleen Michillsen of Arizona; a step-daughter-in-law, Mrs. Charles Light of Peru; a sister, Gladys Foss of New Hampshire; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Her husband, Henry Light, died in 1987. Calling hours will be held Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Zaumetzer-Sprague Funeral Home in AuSable Forks. A funeral will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. at St. Margaret's Church in Wilmington. Burial will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery in Plattsburgh. Donations may be made to the Wilmington Fire Department Rescue Squad.
