Misc: (From Tom Peters of NJ): Sylvain
leased 50 acres of land in Lot 2, Tignish, in l853. By l856, he had
settled in Lot 6 (Howlan Road) and began farming there on a 50 acre tract, which
he enlarged to 90 acres. He later sold this land, which he had initially
leased and purchased after the confederation, in l873. He sold his land to
Christopher Carruthers, Dominique Gallant, and two of his sons, Archie (Nazaire)
and Frank.
