Francis Peters: Charlottetown Guardian (PEI), Monday, 27 September 1954: Lancaster Man Dies on P.E.I. Visit - A Lancaster man, Mr. Frank Peters, died Wednesday while visiting at Fortune Cove, P.E.I. He was 68 years of age. Born in Cascumpec, P.E.I., he was a son of the late Joseph and Edisse Peters and had been a resident of the Saint John area for 43 years. He was a member of the Church of the Assumption in Lancaster and of the Holy Name Society of that parish. His wife, the former Miss Lena Perry, died four years ago. Surviving are three sons, Joseph P. Peters, Saint John; Francis J. Peters, Pittsburgh, Pa., and Walter E. Peters, serving with the Canadian Army, London, Ont., three daughters, Mrs. Harold Lockhart, West Saint John; Mrs. Roy Thompson, Lancaster, and Mrs. George Phinney, Jr., Wilmington, Mass.; one brother, Paul Peters, Charlottetown, and one sister, Mrs. Sylvang Arsenault, Fortune Cove, P.E.I., as well as 11 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Mary Ann Pitre: Charlottetown Guardian (PEI), Friday, 10 August 1962: Alberton - The funeral for Mrs. Sylvang Arsenault was held Thursday, Aug. 2 from St. Anthony's Church, Bloomfield, where Requiem High Mass was celebrated by Rev. Emmanuel Richard. Pallbearers were Sylvang DesRoches, Arthur DesRoches, Robert Arsenault, James Wallace, Kenneth Leard, Albert Gallant. Flower bearers were Lawrence Gallant, Otto Arsenault. The late Mrs. Arsenault was predeceased by her husband in 1959 and a son, Joseph in 1943. Surviving sons and daughters are Andrew, Lawrence, George, Phillip, Mrs. Robert Arsenault (Olive), Mrs. Sylvang DesRoches (Alice), Mrs. Joseph Gallant (Margaret), Mrs. Leonard Arsenault (Stella), Mrs. Arthur DesRoches (Rita). There are 38 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and one brother, Paul Peters, Charlottetown. Service at the grave was conducted by Rev. Clarence Pitre.
