Obituaries for the children:

Ignace Pitre:  The Bottineau Pioneer (ND), Saturday, 26 August 1893:  His Last Roll Call.  The death angel called the roll and Comrade Enos Peat, veteran of the late war and at his death a resident of this county, answered its summons, bravely and serenely as he had many times before faced cannon and musket.  His death occurred very suddenly at his home near Tarsus, on the 22nd inst, being occasioned by heart failure.  The funeral was held at St. Paul Church, Tarsus, on the 24th, the religious services being conducted by Father L'hiver, after the manner of the Catholic church of which the deceased was a member.  After this, his comrades of U.S. Grant Post No. 34, G. A. R., performed the last sad rites for the departed, their burial service being read by Commander L. P. LeMay.  A salute was fired over the grave, and the earthly career of another brave and patriotic man was closed.  May he rest in peace.
