Joseph M. Pitre:  The Northern Light (NB), 18 May 1944:  Joseph M. Pitre of Rough Waters, died May 15, 1944, husband of Elisabeth Godin of Petit Rocher, Five daughters: Mrs. Philippe Blanchard of East Bathurst, Mrs. Allie Lavigne, Mrs. Vincent Lavigne, Mrs. Joe Aube the three of South Bathurst, and Eileen at home; six sons: Arthur of Bathurst East, Rudolph, Clarence, Ernest, Aurelius, Philias all of Rough Waters; two sisters Mrs. Frank Fournier and Annie both of Montreal.  Funeral Bathurst East.

 

Alphonsus Pitre:  The Gazette (Montreal, Quebec), Wednesday, 24 September 1941:  Two Die Suddenly Here - Two sudden deaths, both attributed to natural causes, were reported to local morgue authorities yesterday.  The dead are Mrs. Francois Deschenes, 57, of 1094 St. Timothy street, and Alphonse Pitre, 60, of 3745 Wellington street.
