Death Notice:  The Gazette (Montreal, Quebec), Wednesday, 24 September 1941:  Two Die Suddenly Here - Two sudden deaths, both attributed to natural causes, were reported to local morgue authorities yesterday.  The dead are Mrs. Francois Deschenes, 57, of 1094 St. Timothy street, and Alphonse Pitre, 60, of 3745 Wellington street.

Obituary:  The Northern Light (NB), 15 September 1921:  Alphonse Pitre (Mrs.) of Bathurst West, died September 10, 1921 at age 53, had been disabled for several years.  Her husband will go to live in Ste-Therese.  An adopted daughter Rosie, 15.  Buried in Ste-Therese.

Obituary:  The Montreal Star (Montreal, Quebec), Monday, 15 December 1969:  Pitre, Leclerc, Rosanna.  At Verdun on December 14th, 1969, aged 76 years, Rosanna Lebel, beloved wife of the late Alphonse Pitre, and the late Alphonse Leclerc of 381 5th Ave., Verdun, dear mother of Raymond Leclerc, Blanche Leclerc, Therese (Mrs. J. Tait), Yvonne (Mrs. R. Drapeau), Aline (Mrs. C. Goldbrandsen), Fernande (Mrs. G. Potts), Raymonde (Mrs. R. Martin), Henri Paul Pitre and Joan (Mrs. R. Bernard).  Funeral Wed., December 17th, from Urgel Bourgie Funeral Home, for service in Notre Dame de Lourde Church at 9 a.m.  Thence Cote des Neiges Cemetery.

 

Obituaries for the children:

Fernande Pitre:  Edmonton Journal (Edmonton, Alberta), Saturday, 23 April 1994:  Potts, Fernande.  On April 19, 1994, Mrs. Fernande Potts of Edmonton, formerly of Bathurst, New Brunswick, passed away at the age of 71 years.  Survived by her three sons, Donald of Vancouver, Allen and his wife, Sandy of Holland, Rodney and his wife, Maria of Edmonton; four grandchildren; one sister, Joan of Montreal.  Predeceased by her husband, George.  Memorial Service Saturday, April 23 at 3:00 p.m. at Park Memorial Chapel.  Cremation took place at Park Memorial Chapel.  In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to Edmonton Chapter, Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, Edmonton.

 

Marie Raymonde Pitre:  The Gazette (Montreal, Quebec), Tuesday, 16 March 1993:  Martin, Raymonde (nee Pitre).  At St. Augustin, on March 12, 1993 at the age of sixty-eight years.  Beloved wife of the late Rene Martin.  Dear mother of Johanne (Robert Labossiere).  Predeceased by her son Richard (Francine Lemieux).  Cherished grandmother of Annie, Jonathan and Kevin, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.  Resting at Guay Funeral Home Inc., St. Augustin.  Funeral service at L'Annonciation Church on Thursday, March 18 at 11 a.m., thence to St. Augustin Cemetery.  Visitation Tuesday 7 to 10 p.m., Wednesday 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m., Thursday starting at 9 a.m.

 

Henri Paul Pitre:  The Gazette (Montreal, Quebec), Monday, 8 July 2013:  Henri Paul (Hank) Pitre, 1927 - 2013:  Peacefully, on July 5, 2013.  Beloved husband of Pat for fifty-seven years.  Loving father of Candace (Frank), Steven (Karen).  Godfather of Stephanie (Matt), Sabrina (Jeff), Dylan and Ryan.  Great-grandfather of Rose.  He leaves to mourn dear family members and good friends.  Visitation on Monday, July 8, 2013 from 7:00 to 9:00 a.m. and Tuesday, July 9 at 9 a.m. at Laurent Theriault Funeral Home, Verdun, Quebec.  A Celebration of Hank's Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at St. John Brebeuf Church, LaSalle, Quebec.  Interment at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Montreal Children's Hospital or the H.O.P.E. Society of St. John Brebeuf.
