Xavier Pitre: The Moncton Transcript (Moncton, NB), Monday, 16 May 1955: The death of Francis Xavier Peters, of Collette, Northumberland county, occurred at his home Saturday evening after a long period of ill health. He was 84 years of age and was born in Hope River, P.E.I., and had resided in Collette for the last 45 years. He was a merchant and was well known by a large circle of friends who will learn with sorrow of his death. Surviving are his wife, the former Roseline Blaquier, of North Rustico, P.E.I.; four sons, Pius, Moncton; Francis, Saint John; Victor, Campbellton, and Ambroise at home; six daughters, Mrs. Joseph Black and Mrs. Edgar Martin, Collette, Mrs. Jaddus LeBlanc, Minto, Mrs. Blair Bourgeois, Hamilton, Ont.; Mrs. Yvon Maille, Gardner, Mass., and Mrs. M. E. Collette, Parkton. A solemn high mass of requiem will be celebrated in Notre Dame de Fatima church, Collette, with interment in the adjoining cemetery.

Andre Pitre: Daily Gleaner (Fredericton, NB), Wednesday, 23 February 1916: Newcastle, N.B., Feb. 23 - Andrew Peters of this town, a brakeman on the Intercolonial Railway, was instantly killed yesterday afternoon by falling from a train near Jacquet River. Deceased was brakeman of the passenger special going north in charge of Conductor McDougall, and as the train was nearing Jacquet River he was leaning over the side of the car looking for a hot box, when he lost his balance and fell to his death. He was married and leaves a widow, formerly Miss Mary Adair of Newcastle, and two small children. The body will be brought to Newcastle on No. 25 this morning. He was about thirty years of age, and formerly worked with the D. & J. Ritchie Co. here.
