Obituary: Daily Gleaner (Fredericton, NB), Wednesday, 23 February 1916: Newcastle, N.B., Feb. 23 - Andrew Peters of this town, a brakeman on the Intercolonial Railway, was instantly killed yesterday afternoon by falling from a train near Jacquet River. Deceased was brakeman of the passenger special going north in charge of Conductor McDougall, and as the train was nearing Jacquet River he was leaning over the side of the car looking for a hot box, when he lost his balance and fell to his death. He was married and leaves a widow, formerly Miss Mary Adair of Newcastle, and two small children. The body will be brought to Newcastle on No. 25 this morning. He was about thirty years of age, and formerly worked with the D. & J. Ritchie Co. here.

Obituary: Daily Gleaner (Fredericton, NB), Wednesday, 11 January 1939: Newcastle, N.B., Jan. 9 - The community was shocked to hear of the sudden passing of Mrs. Joseph Dolan, formerly Miss May Adair of this town which occurred at the Miramichi Hospital Friday afternoon, Jan. 6th, age 48 years. Mrs. Dolan had been in failing health for some time, but able to attend to her daily duties. She had entered the hospital a short time previous to her death for a medical examination after which she passed suddenly away. Heart trouble having caused her death. The late Mrs. Dolan was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Adair of this town and was twice married, her first husband being Andrew Peters who passed away several years ago. She is survived by one daughter (Myrtle) Mrs. Charlie McKay, Jr., Whitneyville, and one son Alexis Peters of the town police force, by her first husband. Also two grandchildren. Her husband predeceased her several years ago. Also surviving are one sister, Mrs. Margaret Ballard, Sydney, N.S., and two brothers, John Adair of Berlin, N.H., and William of Truro, N.S. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from her late residence to St. Mary's Church, where interment took place in the adjoining cemetery. The pall-bearers were Messers. Olga Malenberg, Pierce Ronan, A. Pell and Clarence Gough.

Resting at the home of Mrs. John C. Kernighan at St. George. Funeral arrangements to be announced later.
Annie Myrtle Peters: The Times Transcript (Moncton, NB), Thursday, 23 November 1972: Newcastle - The death of Mrs. Myrtle Anne McKay of Whitney occurred Wednesday at Miramichi Hospital. She was 61. She was the daughter of the late Andrew and May (Adair) Peters. She is survived by her husband, Charles McKay; one son, Arnold of Whitney; one daughter, Mrs. James Balfour (Marjorie) of Elliot Lake, Ont., and by five grandchildren. The body is resting at Bell's funeral home, Newcastle. The funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at United Church in Whitney with interment in the church cemetery.
