Joseph Lesime Pitre: Beaumont Journal (TX), Wednesday, 13 December 1939: Lafayette, La., Dec. 13 - Joseph Pitre, 81, died at 6:20 a.m. Tuesday in the home of his son, Walter Pitre. Services were held Wednesday at 10 a.m. with interment in St. John Catholic cemetery. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Louis Guilbeau, Mrs. Theodore Dupuis and Mrs. Adam Duplantis, all of Port Arthur, Texas, and his son here.
