MISC: The Cornwall Standard (Cornwall, ONT), Friday, 6 April 1906: Mr. and Mrs. John Lashambe celebrated their golden wedding on Saturday last. A large number of relatives and friends assembled at their residence on Water Street and a very pleasant evening was spent, Mr. and Mrs. Lashambe receiving the hearty congratulations of all, with sincere wishes that they may be spared to enjoy many more years of happiness and prosperity. Mrs. Lashambe is 66 years of age and Mr. Lashambe, who still follows his trade as a carpenter, is 72. They were born in Tyotown and married in Williamstown.
Obituary: The Freeholder (Cornwall, ONT), Friday, 8 July 1910: John Lashambe, carpenter, died very suddenly on Sunday aged 76 years and three months. Deceased was a son of the late John Lashambe and was born iat Tyotown, but spent 35 years of his life in Cornwall. He was in poor health for the past year. On Sunday he was sitting on the verandah for a time. He went in and died sitting in a chair. He married young and is survived by his wife, four sons and four daughters of a family of 12 children. The survivors are John Lashambe, Finch, Alex. Lashambe, Amqui Station, Que., Louis and Angus Lashambe, Mrs. Arthur Laprise, Mrs. Wm. Tyo, Mrs. Edward Jodoin, Mrs. Lalonde, Cornwall. The funeral took place Tuesday morning to the Church of the Nativity and thence to the Palmyra Grove cemetery, Flanagan Point. Rev. Father McMillan officiated. The pall-bearers were three sons of the deceased, Angus, Louis and John Lashambe, and three sons-in-law, James Lalonde, Edward Jodoin, and Arthur Laprise.

He had resided in Finch 25 years. His wife predeceased him by a year. He left a daughter, Mrs. Donald W. McRae, Finch; his mother, Mrs. John Lashamb, Cornwall; four sisters, Mrs. Archie Laprise, Mrs. Edward Jodoin, Mrs. James Lalonde and Mrs. William Tyo, all in Cornwall; three brothers, Angus Lashamb, Montreal; Louis Lashamb, Cornwall; Alexander Lashamb, Quebec. The funeral was held from the residence of his daughter, Mrs. McRae, to the Roman Catholic Church, Finch, the Requiem High Mass being sung by Rev. M. J. Leahy, of Crysler.

Mary Elizabeth Lajambe: The Ottawa Citizen (Ottawa, ONT), Saturday, 12 July 1947: Mrs. Arthur Laprise dies in Summerstown; Cornwall, Ont., July 11 - Mrs. Arthur Laprise, 84, passed away at her home at nearby Summerstown, after suffering a heart attack. Mrs. Laprise was born in Williamstown, Glengarry county, 83 years ago last April 9, a daughter of the late John Lashambe and his wife Julia Lavigne, her maiden name being Mary Lashambe. She came to Cornwall and made her home here for 50 years, but 15 years ago the family moved to a farm at Summerstown and have since resided there. Mr. Laprise died there seven years ago. Surviving are a son and two daughters - George Laprise, of Toronto, formerly a well-known lacrosse player in Cornwall, Mrs. Henry Constant and Miss Delia Laprise at home. She is also survived by a brother and sister, Mrs. James Lalonde, Cornwall, and Angus Lashambe, Montreal. The body is at Miller's Funeral Home from whence the funeral will be held to the Church of the Precious Blood, Glen Walter, and the cemetery at Flanagan's Point.

Body will arrice Wednesday afternoon at Miller's Funeral Home, from where the funeral will be held on Thursday, Oct. 7 to St. Columban's Church and cemetery.

Lalonde Dies - Lifelong Cornwall Resident had been ill a month - Cornwall, March 10 - Mrs. James Lalonde, lifelong resident of Cornwall, died at her home 633 Adolphus street last night. She had been about until a month ago and was in serious condition for two weeks, a sufferer from heart trouble. She was born in Cornwall 73 years ago Feb. 10, a daughter of John Lashambe. Surviving, besides her husband, are three daughters and five sons Mrs. Delia Herrington, Mrs. Romeo Gagnon, Mrs. Neil Merpaw, James, Leo, Francis and Louis Lalonde, all in Cornwall. Her only surviving brother, Angus Lashambe, resides in Montreal.

Julia Ann Corine Lajambe: The Standard Freeholder (Cornwall, ONT), Friday, 11 February 1938: Old Cornwall friends were sorry to learn of the death, at New York, on Sunday, of Mrs. William Taillon, formerly a well known and respected resident of Cornwall. Born here 63 years ago, she was a daughter of John Lashambe, her maiden name being Julia Lashambe. She went to New York in September last to reside with her daughters, Mrs. Larry Rosenfeld and Mrs. James Snell. She was predeceased by her husband. Left to mourn her loss are four daughters - Mrs. James Snell and Mrs. Larry Rosenfeld of New York City; Mrs. Mabel Latraverse and Mrs. Willis Colmon, of Montreal. She also leaves two sisters and three brothers - Mrs. Arthur Laprise and Mrs. James Lalonde, of Cornwall; Alex. Lajambe, of Rimouski, Que.; Angus Lajambe, of Montreal; Louis Lajambe, of River Beaudette. Four grandchildren also survive - Mrs. Ed. Haywood, New York City; William, George and Beverly Colmon, of Montreal. The body was brought to Cornwall, Tuesday morning, accompanied by Mrs. Snell and Mrs. Rosenfeld, and taken to the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Lalonde, 633 Adolphus street, from whence the funeral was held Wednesday morning, to Nativity church and vault. The Requiem High Mass was sung by Rev. Duncan McDonald. Pall bearers were Stephen Tyo, James Lalonde Sr., James Lalonde Jr., James Angus Lalonde.
