Obituary: The Ottawa Journal (Ottawa, ONT), Thursday, 28 June 1951: Mrs. L. G. Lashambe, Cornwall, June 28 - Mrs. Louis G. Lashambe, who came to Cornwall from Rimouski, Que., as a girl of eight years, died suddenly at her home in East Cornwall. She was in her 79th year. She was the former Anna Marie Piteau, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Phillippe Piteau. She was a member of the Ladies of Ste. Anne Society. Her husband died here November 12, 1942. Surviving are three sons and three daughters, Ephrian Lashambe, William Lashambe and Godron Lashambe, all of Montreal; Mrs. Arthur Bergeron and Mrs. John Jesmer, of Cornwall; Mrs. Gabor Balaza, Massena, N.Y.. She was the last survivor of the Piteau family. The funeral was held today to St. Felix de Valois Church for requiem high mass at 10 o'clock. Interment was made in the cemetery at Flanagan's Point cemetery.

Emma Anna 'Malvina' Lajambe: Daily Standard Freeholder (Cornwall, ONT), Thursday, 18 March 1954: Smart and active until three weeks ago, when she suffered a stroke and was conveyed to Cornwall General Hospital, Mrs. Arthur Bergeron, 119 Chevrier Avenue, failed to respond to treatment and passed away at that institution on Wednesday night, on the eve of her 64th birthday. She was fortified by the last rites of the Roman Catholic Church. Born in Cornwall 64 years ago today, she was the former Miss Malvina Lajambe, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Louis Lajambe, and spent her entire life here. She was held in the warmest regard and her death will be sincerely regretted by many friends. Her husband died 20 years ago. She is survived by three sons and a daughter - Wallace Bergeron, Maurice Bergeron and Claude Bergeron, all in Cornwall; Mrs. Charles Noblett (Pearl) Massena, N.Y. She also leaves three brothers and two sisters - William Lajambe, St. Eustache, Que.; Gordon Lajambe and Ephrem Lajambe, both in Montreal; Mrs. John Jesmer, Cornwall; Mrs. Gabe Bolash, Massena, N.Y. The body is resting at the home of Claude Bergeron, 119 Chevrier Avenue, from where the funeral will be held Saturday, March 20, to Nativity Church and cemetery. Requiem High Mass at 10 a.m.

Lashambe - Cornwall, Feb. 13 - Ill for over a year, George Edmund Lashambe, a popular Cornwall butcher, died at his home, 32 Louisa street north, on Sunday. The funeral was held from his residence yesterday morning and was largely attended. Requiem high mass was sung by Rev. Duncan McDonald at Nativity church and interment was made in Flanagan's Point cemetery. Pallbearers were Arthur Dextras, Albert Dextras, Rosaire Forget, Adrien Marleau, Evard Bowen and Albert Lavigne. Mr. Lashambe was born in Cornwall 43 years ago. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Lashambe, who have made their home in River Beaudette, Que., for the past three years. All his life was spent in Cornwall. He was a well-known business man and his death was regretted by a wide circle of friends. Surviving are his father and mother, his widow, formerly Miss Louise Masson of Cornwall; two sons and three daughters, Miss Antoinette Lashambe, Maurice Lashambe, Miss Laurette Lashambe, Miss Margaret Lashambe, Rodolph Lashambe, all at home; three brothers and three sisters, Ephriam Lashambe, William Lashambe, Montreal; Gordon Lashambe, Mrs. Arthur Bergeron, Mrs. John Jesmer and Miss Kathleen Lashambe of Cornwall.

Gordon Louis Alexander Lashamb: Standard Freeholder (Cornwall, ONT), Friday, 16 February 1968: Requiem high mass was celebrated Wednesday for Gordon Lashambe, 55, of Montreal, formerly of Cornwall. He died Feb. 11, at the Queen Mary Veterans Hospital, Montreal. Pallbearers were Maurice Gagne, Kenneth Dewe, Claude Bergeron, Bill Jesmer, Richard Billo and Maurice Lashambe. Born in Cornwall, he was a son of the late Gregoire Lashambe and the former Anna Piteau. Mr. Lashambe was a veteran of the Second World War, serving as a petty officer in the Royal Canadian Navy. He is survived by his wife, the fomer Yvonne Descoste; one son, Gerald of Vancouver, B.C.; one sister, Mrs. Donalda Jesmer of Cornwall; and two brothers, Ephram of Montreal, and William of Two Mountains, Que. Rev. Emilien Houde was celebrant of requiem high mass at Nativity Church with Rev. John R. Donihee of Lancaster, performing committal service at the graveside. Burial was in Lancaster. Funeral arrangements were completed by Boulerice Funeral Home.
