Obituaries for the children:

Mary Donalda Lashomb:  Daily Standard Freeholder (Cornwall, ONT), Friday, 28 December 1951:  Morewood - The funeral of Mrs. Walter Stewart was held Sunday afternoon at Morewood United Church.  Her sudden passing came as a great shock to her many friends.  Mrs. Stewart was the former Mary Lashambe.  She was born at Finch 64 years ago, the only daughter of the late John Lashambe and his wife, Marjorie Cameron.  She was married twice.  Her former husband, Donald W. McRae, of Finch, predeceased her a number of years ago.  Six years ago she married Walter Stewart and came to Morewood to live.  She endeared herself to all with whom she came in contact with her kind and pleasant manner and fine Christian character.  She was a member of the Presbyterian Church, Finch.  She leaves to mourn, besides her husband, one son, Dewey McRae, and one daughter, Mrs. Hughie Shaver, both of Finch, and a number of grandchildren.  Rev. D. L. Gordon conducted the service and the choir rendered the anthem, "Some Day He'll Make It Plain."  Many beautiful floral tributes surrounded the casket, testifying to the high esteem in which the deceased was held.  The remains were placed in the vault at Maple Ridge cemetery to await burial in the spring.
