Albert Pete: Detroit Free Press (MI), Tuesday, 28 August 1923: Monroe, Mich., Aug. 27 - The funeral of Albert Pete, 50 years old, Erie fisherman, who died from gas asphyxiation in a motor boat while on Lake Erie last Thursday will be held Wednesday morning from St. Joseph's church in the village of Erie, 12 miles south of here. Harvey Monimee, 28 years old, companion of Pete, is in critical condition at his home in Erie township. He was burned in the explosion.
