17 October 1820 Deed (V1, #40) – Northumberland, Know all men by these presents that Margaret Petre widow of Michael Petre and Maria Petre Julia Petre Esther Petre, Isabel Petre, Peter Petre, and Margaret Petre their children all of the Parish of Saumarez Province of New Brunswick and County aforesaid for and in consideration of the sum of sixteen pounds currency of the said province to them in hand well and fully paid by Laurence Gehahen at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledged and themselves to be therewith fully content satisfied and paid Have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said Laurence Gehahen his heirs and assigns all that certain piece parcel and tract of land and premises situate on the south side of Bay Chaleur in the aforesaid parish and is Lot number twenty four originally granted to the now deceased Michael Petre and is bounded to the eastward by Lot number Twenty five and bounded to the westward by lot number twenty three containing two hundred and twenty acres more or less as by reference to grant will more fully appear together with all and singular the buildings and improvements made or erected thereon and all the estate right title dower right and title of dower claim challenge and demand whatsoever either in law or in equity of them the said Margaret Petre widow and Maria Pitre, Julia Petre, Esther Petre Isabel Petre, Peter Petre, and Margaret Petre of into or out of the same and every part and parcel thereof with their and every of their appurtenances to have and to hold the before described lot or tract of land and premises unto him the said Laurence Gehehan his heirs and assigns for ever to his and their only proper use benefit and behoof for ever and to and for no other use intent or purpose what soever.  And that the said Margaret Petre widow and Maria Petre, Julia Petre, Esther Petre, Isabel Petre, Peter Petre, and Margaret Petre for themselves their executors and administrators and assigns do covenant to and with the said Laurence Gehehan his executors administrators and assigns that the said Margaret Petre widow and Maria Petre, Julia Petre, Esther Petre, Isabel Petre, Peter Petre, and Margaret Petre are seized of the premises as above described as a good and indefensible estate of inheritance in fee simple and that they have a good right and full power and authority to grant bargain and sell the same and that they the said Margaret Petre widow and Maria Petre, Julia Petre, Esther Petre, Isabel Petre, Peter Petre, and Margaret Petre will warrant and defend the same unto the said Laurence Gehehan his heirs or assigns against the lawful claims of any person or persons whatsoever.  In Witness Whereof the parties to these presents have set their hands and affixed their seals at Saint Peters this seventeenth day of October one thousand eight hundred and twenty.  Signed Sealed and Delivered in presence of Signed, James Selkirk, P. 5 August 1829 (V1, #84) - Michael Petre & wife Luce sold some land for 10 pounds to John Babtiste Terrio which was the share of Margaret Asche alias Petre of lot 17 sold to her brother Michael Petre.

 

11 August 1820 (V1, #87) -  Mary Petre Angelique Petre Esther Petre and Isabel Petre of St. Peters Parish of Saumarez sold some land (their inherited share of lot 17) for 2 pounds to their brother Pier Petre (registered 20 October 1829)

 

10 April 1827 (V1, #88) - Widow Margaret Petre and Margaret Asche of St. Peters, Saumarez sold some land (their share of lot 17 which was originally granted to Michael Petre Sr) for 17 pounds to Michael Petre.  (registered 20 October 1829)

 

16 Oct 1829 (V1, #89) - Michael Petre & wife Luce of St Peters, Bathurst sold for 60 pounds some land (Michael’s share of lot 17 which was originally granted to Michael Petre Sr) to John Fraser

 

3 November 1829 Indenture (V1, #93) - John Fraser, Pierre Pitre & wife Mary, and John B. Terrio, all of Bathurst, now sole owners of what was originally lot 17 want to subdivide the lot so each has their own section.

 

8 May 1832 Indenture (V1, #320) – This Indenture made this eighth day of May in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty two between Michael Petre of the Parish of Beresford in the County of Gloucester and province of New Brunswick farmer and Lucy his wife John Tromley Junr. of the Parish of Bathurst County and province aforesaid farmer and Mary his wife Michael Lavigne of the Parish county and province last aforesaid farmer and Angelique his wife Esther Daigle of the parish County and province aforesaid widow of the late Michael Daigle Senr. deceased Michael Daigle Junior of the parish of Beresford County and province aforesaid and Angelique his wife Tranquile Doucet of the Parish of Bathurst County and province aforesaid farmer and Rebecca his wife Joseph Joseph Ache Junr. of the Parish County and province last aforesaid Pilot and Margaret his wife and Peter Doucet Senr. of the Parish County and Province last aforesaid farmer and Isabell his wife of the one part and John Fraser of the Parish of Bathurst County and Province aforesaid of the other part That whereas the late Michael Petre Senr. of Nepisiguit County and province aforesaid died seized and possessed of Real Estate in Nepisiguit now the Parish of Bathurst aforesaid and whereas several of the heirs of the said deceased Michael Petre Senr sold and disposed of their right and claim in and to the lot of land situate in Bathurst aforesaid known as the lot number seventeen granted to the said late Michael Petre Senr. deceased and whereas the parties and each of them of the first part are willing and desirous of conveying and assigning over to the said John Fraser all their and each of their right and claim in and to the said lot of land and premises above mentioned Now know all men by these presents that the said Michael Petre Junior and Lucy his wife the said John Tromley Junr. and Mary his wife the said Michael Lavigne and Angelique his wife the said Esther Daigle the said Michael Daigle Junior and Angelique his wife the said Tranquile Doucet and Rebecca his wife the said Joseph Ache Junior and Margaret his wife and the said Peter Doucet Senr. and Isabell his wife for and in consideration of the premises and for and in consideration of the sum of twenty pounds lawful money of New Brunswick to them in hand paid by the said John Fraser the receipt where of they do hereby acknowledge and themselves to be therewith fully content Have granted bargained and sold aliened released and confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain and sell alien release and confirm unto the said John Fraser his heirs and assigns all the estate right title dower right and title of dower of the said Michael Petre Junr. and Lucy his wife John Tromley Junr. and Mary his wife Michael Lavigne and Angelique his wife Esther Daigle Michael Daigle Junr. and Angelique his wife Tranquil Doucet and Rebecca his wife Joseph Ache Junr. and Margaret his wife & Peter Doucet Senr. and Isabell his wife of in and to that farm tract and piece of land lying and being in the said Parish of Bathurst and County of Gloucester and known as the lot No. seventeen granted to the late Michael Petre Senior since deceased and bounded on the southerly side by lot number sixteen granted to John Baptiste Petre and on the northerly side by lot number eighteen granted to Michael Ache as by reference to the original grant will appear together with all the buildings and improvements thereon of what nature or kindsoever and all the estate right and title of the said Michael Petre Junr. and Lucy his wife John Tromley Junr. and Mary his wife Michael Lavigne and Angelique his wife Ester Daigle Michael Daigle Junior and Angelique his wife Tranquil Doucet and Rebecca his wife Joseph Ache Junior and Margaret his wife and Peter Doucet Senior and Isabell his wife in and to the same and every part and parcel thereof with the appurtanances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining to have and to hold the said farm tract or piece of land and the estate right title and claim of the said Michael Petre Junr. and Lucy his wife John Tromley Junr. and Mary his wife Michael Lavigne and Angelique his wife Esther Daigle Michael Daigle Junior and Angelique his wife Tranquil Doucet and Rebecca his wife Joseph Ache Junior and Margaret his wife and Peter Doucet Senr. and Isabell his wife therein and thereto unto the said John Fraser his heirs and assigns forever to the only proper use benefit and behoof of the said John Fraser his heirs and assigns forever.  And the said Mich.
