Jasper Leandre Pitre:  Times Picayune (New Orleans, LA), Friday, 9 February 1900:  Jasper Pitre - Lake Charles, La., Feb. 8 - Jasper Pitre, police juryman from the Second ward, died last night at his home near Welsh.  He was aged about 42 years, and left a family of children.  His wife preceded him in death.  Mr. Pitre suffered over a year with consumption.
