18 March 1801 – Jenny (23, b. Jamaica) and a Creole girl b. Jamaica aged 1 (her daughter?), from Theophile Collins for 800 piastres

16 Sep 1803 – a boy (b. Brut, Africa) who arrived on the ship La Sally from west central Africa, from Juan Francisco Merieult for 430 piastres

11 Jun 1804 – Job (22, b. British Mainland Creole), from William Marson & George Grey (slavetraders from Tennessee) for 575 piastres

30 Jul 1807 – Dick (10), from Jesse Benton (from Tennessee) for $362

- 18 January 1868, Opelousas Journal – Sale of the estate of Eugenie P. Pitre, in community with her surviving husband Adam Tate: tract of land on confines of Bayou Chicot Woods, 3 arpents x 75 arpents, with the buildings and improvements thereon; another tract in same vicinity 800 arpents; (significant part of page missing: 700 stock cattle, 550 stock cattle, 5 horses, and much more).

 

Obituaries for the children:

Onesime Pitre:  The Times Democrat (New Orleans, LA), Wednesday, 13 May 1868:  The  Opelousas Courier of the 9th has been informed that Mr. Onezime P. Pitre, a well-known citizen of the Parish of St. Landry, committed suicide a few days ago by blowing out his brains with a shot gun.  No cause is assigned for the rash act.
