16 March 1833 Indenture (V1, #406) – This Indenture made this sixteenth day of March in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty three Between Alexis Petre of the Parish of Beresford in the County of Gloucester and Province of New Brunswick widower of the one part and Martha his daughter and wife of Michael Guitar of the parish County and province aforesaid spinster of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Alexis Petre for and in consideration of the natural love and affection which he beareth unto his said daughter and also for divers good causes and consideration him hereunto moving hath given granted bargained assigned and transferred and by these presents doth give grant bargain assign and transfer unto the said Martha Guitar for the maintenance livelihood and support of the said Martha Guitar and Michael Guitar her husband during their natural life and at the death of the surviving party of the other to descend to the heirs in Wedlock of the said Martha Guitar only. All that certain part piece or parcel of lot No. seventeen granted to the said Alexis Petre lying and being in the said Parish of Beresford bounded on the north by lot No. 18 granted to Joseph Roy Junr. but presently in the possession of Charles Commeaux in the rear by the second concession on the south by lot No. 16 granted to Francis Boudreau and in front by the Bay of Chaleur the said part or parcel hereby assigned and intended so to be for the uses aforesaid. 21 August 1838 Indenture (V3, #70) – Widower Alexis Petre of Beresford and Joseph Cunard. Alexis Petre was the grantee of lot #17 in Little Rocher, on 18 June 1832 sold part of this lot to Joseph Doucett, and on 16 March 1833 sold another piece to Martha Guitar & Michael Guitar. The southern part of the parcel he sold to Joseph Cunard for 40 pounds.
6 November 1843 Indenture (V4, #74) – This Indenture made the sixth day of November in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty three between Alexis Petre of Little Roche Parish of Beresford in the County of Gloucester and Province of New Brunswick of the one part and Frederick Commeaux of Parish and County aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that for and in consideration that the said Frederick Commeaux do provide the said Alexis Peter with board lodging washing and clothes during the natural life of him the said Alexis Peter to reside with him the said Frederick Commaux the said Alexis Peter do grant bargain and sell and by these presents do grant bargain and sell release assign and set over unto the said Frederick Commeaux his heirs and assigns forever all that certain lot piece parcel or tract of land situate lying and being in the Parish of Beresford and known as part of lot number seventeen and abutted and bounded as follows commencing at the north line of a part of said lot of land deeded to Martha Peter commencing at the Bay shore and running along said line west one hundred and fifty chains of four poles each thence north six chains thence east one hundred & fifty chains to the shore & thence along the shore to the place of beginning containing eighty acres more or less the same having been granted to the said Alexis Peter as by reference to the grant will more fully and at large appear and all the houses outhouses barns stables woods ways waters passages privileges improvements and appurtenances to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining and the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders rents issues and profits thereof and of every part thereof and all the estate right title interest property claim and demand whatsoever both at law and in equity. To have and to hold the said piece parcel or tract of land herein before described or meant mentioned or intended so to be with all and singular the privileges and improvements and appurtenances unto him the said Frederick Commeaux his heirs and assigns forever to the only proper use benefit and behoof of him the said Frederick Commeaux his heirs and assigns forever And the said Alexis Peter for himself his heirs executors and administrators doth by these presents covenant promise and grant to and with the said Frederick Commeaux his heirs and assigns that he the said Alexis Peter is well seized of the lot piece or parcel of land hereby granted bargained and sold in and as of a good sure and indefeasible estate of inheritance in fee simple and that the quiet and peaceable possession of the same and every part and parcel thereof with all and singular the appurtenances unto him the said Frederick Commaux his heirs and assigns against all persons lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any of them or any part thereof he the Alexis Peter his heirs executors and administrators shall and will forever warrant and defend. This Indenture made this ninth day of May in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty four between Alexis Petre Senior of the Parish of Beresford in the said County of Gloucester of the one part and Joseph Trembly and Mary Petre and Julian Petre daughters of the said Alexis Petre Senior of the other part Witnesseth that for and in account of divers considerations him thereunto moving and for the further consideration of the sum of ten shillings current money of the Province of New Brunswick to him in hand well and truly paid by the said Joseph Trembly and Mary Petre Julie Petre and Julian Petre at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt and payment whereof is hereby acknowledged by the said Alexis Petre Senior and himself to be therewith fully content satisfied and paid hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell unto the said Joseph Trembly and Mary Petre Julie Petre and Julian Petre all the residue of that certain lot or tract of land and premises situate lying and being at Petit Rocher in the Parish of Beresford aforesaid now owned and occupied by the said Alexis Petre Senior being bounded on the south by piece of said tract conveyed by the said Alexis Petre Senior and Joseph Cunard and on the north by a piece conveyed to Michael Guitar for life by the said Alexis Petre Senior the said residue of said tract of land and premises to be divided between the said Joseph Trembley and Mary Petre Julie Petre and Julian Petre in the following manner that is to say the said Joseph Trembley his heirs and assigns to have fourteen rods in width from front to rear on the south side joining to the piece deeded to the said Joseph Cunard with all the rights privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining and the reversion and reversions rents issues and profits thereof and every part and parcel thereof unto the said Joseph Trembley his heirs and assigns forever and the said Mary Petre Julie Petre and Julian Petre to have the residue of said tract from front to rear being about ten rods in width and bounded on the north by Michael Guitar and on the south by the said Joseph Trembley together with all and singular the buildings and improvements made and erected thereon but only for and during the life time of said Mary Petre Julie Petre and Julian Petre in trust and to become at the moment of the deaths of the said Mary Petre Julie Petre and Julian Petre the absolute property of Alexis Petre Junior son of the said Alexis Petre Senior and his heirs and assigns forever with the reversion and reversions rents issues and profits thereof and of every part and parcel thereof with their and every their appurtenances and in the meantime the said Mary Petre Julie Petre and Julian Petre shall not have any authority by these presents to dispose of or lease the said land and premises or any part thereof but shall simply retain the same in trust for their support and maintenance during life, In witness whereof the said Alexis Petre Senior hath hereunto subscribed his name and set and affixed his seal on the day and year first herein before written.
