William Warren Peters: Naples Daily News (Naples, FL), Sunday, 24 December 1978: William W. Peters, age 66, of 2875 Gulf Shore Blvd. N., died Thursday. He had been a resident of Naples for the past year, coming from Short Hills, N.J. He was former vice president of the New Yorker Peters Corporation, Elizabeth, N.J. and was a member of St. William's Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Rita of Naples; one son, Stanley of Philadelphia; two daughters, Jean Peters of New York City and Wendy Ann Peters of Boston, Mass., one brother, Dr. Gerard Peters of Patterson, N.J. and two granddaughters. Funeral mass was at 10 a.m. Saturday at the St. Ann Catholic Church, Father Dominick O'Dwyer of St. William's Catholic Church officiating. Further services and burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Brooklyn, N.Y. The David K. Johnson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to St. William's Church Building Fund.

He was a member of the American Medical Association, the Medical Society of New Jersey, and the board of trustees of St. Joseph's Hospital, Paterson. He was a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He had served as health commissioner and fire surgeon in Paterson. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a parishioner of St. Mary R.C.
