Obituary:  Naples Daily News (Naples, FL), Sunday, 24 December 1978:  William W. Peters, age 66, of 2875 Gulf Shore Blvd. N., died Thursday.  He had been a resident of Naples for the past year, coming from Short Hills, N.J.  He was former vice president of the New Yorker Peters Corporation, Elizabeth, N.J. and was a member of St. William's Catholic Church.  He is survived by his wife, Rita of Naples; one son, Stanley of Philadelphia; two daughters, Jean Peters of New York City and Wendy Ann Peters of Boston, Mass., one brother, Dr. Gerard Peters of Patterson, N.J. and two granddaughters.  Funeral mass was at 10 a.m. Saturday at the St. Ann Catholic Church, Father Dominick O'Dwyer of St. William's Catholic Church officiating.  Further services and burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Brooklyn, N.Y.  The David K. Johnson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to St. William's Church Building Fund.

Obituary:  Naples Daily News (Naples, FL), Friday, 18 December 1992:  Rita Peters, 74, of Naples, died on Thursday, December 17, 1992.  Mrs. Peters was born in New York and was a former resident of New Jersey before making Naples her home in 1977.  She retired as a medical assistant and had served as a volunteer at the Naples Community Hospital.  Mrs. Peters was also a volunteer for "New Eyes for The Needy" in Short Hills, N.J. and was president of the Thursday Book Club of Naples.  Surviving are her son, Stanley B. Peters of San Jose, Calif.; two daughters, Jean P. Tougas of Stamford, Conn., Wendy Ann Peters of Placentia, Calif.; a sister, Patricia Davis of Los Angeles, Calif.; and two grandchildren.  A memorial service will be held on Friday (today) at 7:30 p.m. at the Hodges Funeral Chapel with the Rev. John C. Rourke, officiating.  Interment will be private.  In lieu of flowers please make contributions to the American Cancer Society, Naples, Fla.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Hodges Funeral Chapel.
