Obituary: The Record (Hackensack, NJ), Wednesday, 20 February 2002: A. Gerard Peters, 86, of Wayne, formerly of Paterson, died Thursday. He had practiced medicine in Paterson and at Medical Internist, Fair Lawn. He was a graduate of Columbia University and New York University Medical School. He was a member of the American Medical Association, the Medical Society of New Jersey, and the board of trustees of St. Joseph's Hospital, Paterson. He was a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He had served as health commissioner and fire surgeon in Paterson. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a parishioner of St. Mary R.C. Obituary: The Herald News (Passaic, NJ), Thursday, 17 June 1993: Wayne - Joan B. (Bassler) Peters, 75, died yesterday. Born in New York, she lived in Paterson, moving here in 1984. Mrs. Peters was a 1978 graduate of Fordham University. She was a chairwoman for Passaic County Unit of the American Cancer Society-Task Force Uterine Cancer. Mrs. Peters was president of the auxiliary of the Passaic County Medical Society. Mrs. Peters was president of the Women's Auxiliary of St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center, Paterson. Surviving are her husband, Dr. A. Gerard, and a daughter, Harriette M. Peters of West New York. Feeney Funeral Home Inc., Ridgewood, is in charge of arrangements.

Harriette M. Peters: The Herald News (Passaic, NJ), Wednesday, 17 March 2021: Wayne - Harriette M. Peters, age 76, died peacefully at home on Sunday, March 14, 2021 after a long courageous battle with cancer. Harriette was born in New York, NY, the daughter of the late A. Gerard Peters, MD, and the late Joan (Bassler) Peters. She was a graduate of both Syracuse University and New York University. Harriette spent her professional life financing commercial property for middle tier lenders throughout the northeast. She later in life returned to school and earned a Master's degree in Theology from Immaculate Conception Seminary School of Theology at Seton Hall University. Harriette was a long-time parishioner of Our Lady of Consolation RC Church in Wayne, and for many years a Eucharistic Minister bringing Communion to the sick and homebound. She leaves behind those who helped her to navigate this difficult journey, Dr. and Mrs. Richard Oliver, James Barton, Susan Bull, Mary Rose Arabi, Joan Crowley, Joyce Kulik, Jennifer Pannell and Lena Mettle. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at 10:15 a.m. at St. Bonaventure RC Church, Paterson with the burial to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, New York. In lieu of flowers, donations in Harriette's name may be made to your favorite charity. Arrangements are entrusted to Moore's Home for Funerals, Wayne.
