Obituaries for the children:

Joseph Wilfred Pitre:  The Times Transcript (Moncton, NB), Monday 29 February 1988 Robertville -   Wilfred Pitre, 84, of Villa Chaleur Nursing Home, Bathurst, and formerly of Robertville, died Saturday at the Moncton Hospital after a lengthy illness.  Born in Robertville, he was a son of the late Pierre and Marie (Frenette) Pitre.  He is survived by his wife, the former Brigitte Boudreau; five sons: Hermenegilde of Robertville, Philippe and Paul both of Petit Rocher, Patrice of Big River and Magella of Nigadoo; four sisters (sic daughters): Mrs. Alvin Wilson (Exezella) of Robertville, Mrs. Christian Cloutier (Corinne) and Mrs. Bruno Lagace (Anne-Marie), both of Montreal, and Mrs. Martin Doucet (Lina) of Dunlop; two brothers George of Nicholas Denys and Zenon of Robertville; 34 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.  The body is at Verret's Funeral Home, Bathurst.  Funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday at Ste. Therese Roman Catholic Church, Robertville, at 7 p.m.  Burial will be in the parish cemetery in the spring.   

 

Joseph George Pitre:  Acadie Nouvelle (NB), 14 November 1988:  Georges Pitre of Nicolas Denys, died on Nov 10, 1988 at 76 years old, husband of Rosanna Roy, and son of Pierre Pitre and Marie Pitre.  Three sons: Richard of Nicolas Denys, Omer and Roger both of Toronto; four daughters: Cecile and Marielle both of Petit Rocher, Armande (Denis Vienneau) of Free Grant, and Jacqueline Pitre of Beresford; three adopted sons: Regis Doiron of Beresford, Louis Doiron of Nicolas Denys and Gerard Doiron of Montreal; three adopted daughters: Francine (Wayne Strainiest) of St. Jean, Marguerite (Leon Morrison) of Beresford and Therese (Gerard Losier) of St-Sauveur; a brother Zeno of Robertville.   

 

Joseph Zenon Pitre:   L'Acadie Nouvelle (Caraquet, NB), Tuesday, 4 June 2002:  (photo)  Robertville - At the Bathurst Regional Hospital, on Saturday, June 1st, 2002, at the age of 87 years, Zenon Pitre passed away, residing at La Villa Chaleur in Bathurst, but formerly from Robertville.  Born at Robertville, he was the son of the late Pierre and Marie (Frenette) Pitre.  Besides his wife, Emilie Cormier, he is survived by three sons: Albert (Jeannine) of Beresford, Yvon (Denise) and Donald (Huguette), both of Robertville; six daughters: Julienne Pitre of Bathurst, Denise Pitre and Claudine Mallet (Denis), both of Petit Rocher, Irene Savoie (Benoit) of Montreal, QC, Jeannette Pitre of Moncton and Diane Arseneau (Reynald) of Robertville, also nine grandchildren, one great-granddaughter and several nephews and nieces.  Former manager of the Robertville credit union.  Mr. Pitre was the last surviving member of his immediate family.  He worked as a farmer.  Later, he was manager of the Robertville Credit Union and worked for the local school district.  There will be no visit to the funeral home.  The funeral will take place at Sainte Therese Church of Robertville, Wednesday, June 5, at 6:30 p.m.  Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
