Obituary:  Acadie Nouvelle (NB), 14 November 1988:  Georges Pitre of Nicolas Denys, died on Nov 10, 1988 at 76 years old, husband of Rosanna Roy, and son of Pierre Pitre and Marie Pitre.  Three sons: Richard of Nicolas Denys, Omer and Roger both of Toronto; four daughters: Cecile and Marielle both of Petit Rocher, Armande (Denis Vienneau) of Free Grant, and Jacqueline Pitre of Beresford; three adopted sons: Regis Doiron of Beresford, Louis Doiron of Nicolas Denys and Gerard Doiron of Montreal; three adopted daughters: Francine (Wayne Strainiest) of St. Jean, Marguerite (Leon Morrison) of Beresford and Therese (Gerard Losier) of St-Sauveur; a brother Zeno of Robertville.

Obituary:  Elhatton’s Funeral Home (Bathurst, NB):  Rose Anna Pitre, Nicholas Denys:  At the Chaleur Regional Hospital, on Tuesday, August 14, 2007, at the age of 83, passed away Mrs. Rose Anna Pitre, of Grand Bay, NB, formerly of Nicholas Denys.  Married in 1st marriage of the late Thomas Doiron and in 2nd marriage of the late George Pitre.  She was the last living member of her immediate family.  he is survived by: Therese Losier (Gerard) of Saint Sauveur, NB, Francine Doiron of Saint John, NB, Marguerite Doiron of Beresford, NB, Regis Doiron (Janita) of Beresford, NB, Louis Doiron (Claire) of Nicholas Denys, NB, Gerard Doiron (Joanne) of Lac St. Charles, Que., Roger Pitre (Diane) of Missassauga, ON, Omer Pitre of Regina, SK, Cecile Pitre of Petit-Rocher, NB, Armande Vienneau (Denis) of Free Grant, NB, Marielle Pitre (Marcel Comeau) of Nicholas Denys, NB, Jacqueline Pitre of Bathurst, Richard Pitre (Stephanie) of Robertville, NB, 14 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren.  One son, Roland Doiron, one sister; Sylvianne Vienneau, two brothers George and Gerard Roy, predeceased her.  There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home.  Funeral mass will be celebrated Friday, August 17, 2007 from Notre Dame de L'Assomption Church, Nicholas Denys, at 2 p.m.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Heritage Funeral Home, Beresford.
