Yvon Pitre: Bathurst, NB: 1948-2016:
Yvon Pitre, 68, passed away August 6, 2016 at the Saint John Regional
Hospital. Born in Robertville (Lugar), he was the son of the late Zenon
Pitre and the late Emilie Cormier. He is survived by his two
daughters: Sonia (Eric Doucet) and Lise Andree (Frederic Doyon) both of
Gatineau. His very dear friend, Lorraine Boudreau. The mother
of his children, Denise Pitre. His two grandsons: Francis and
Emile Doucet. Two brothers: Albert (Jeannine) and Donald (Lise).
Four sisters: Denise (Denis Sirois), Claudine (Denis Mallet), Jeannette (Jean
Robidas), Diane (Reynald Arseneau) and a brother-in-law, Benoit Savoie.
Two sisters: Julienne and Irene predeceased him. Yvon was a
self-taught and cultured man. A great lover of modern history. He
was known by his family and those around him as a hardworking and honest man.
He was also a model of determination and perseverance. All his qualities
enabled him to overcome many trials related to his long illness. Despite
everything he's been through, he never gave up. His taste for life was
largely attributed to his two grandsons whom he loved to spoil and boast about
their exploits to anyone who would listen. Yvon was very fond of his
community, especially his gang of pocket players. He was very involved in
the Robertville Golden Age Club, among other things, in the organization of
pocket and card games, as well as washer tournaments. It must be said that
he was very proud of it! Yvon loved his family very much, laughing,
dancing, reading, discussing politics, and also having a drink at three and a
half hours. We will miss him. Bon voyage and have a well-deserved
rest Dad. Parents and friends are invited to the Robertville Golden Age
Club on Friday, August 12, 2016 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. In memory of Yvon, a
donation to the dialysis department of the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst
would be appreciated. The family wishes to thank the staff of the dialysis
department of the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst and the Dr. Georges L.
Dumont Hospital in Moncton, for Yvon was like his second family.
