Obituary:  Plattsburgh Daily Republican (NY), Friday, 27 December 1929:  Mr. Peter Peet, who passed away Friday morning was buried Monday at the St. Ann church cemetery in Mooers Forks.

- Plattsburgh Daily Republican (NY), 3 January 1930:  Mr. Peter Peet, Sr., passed away at the age of 80 years at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Clara Patnode, December 20.  The funeral was held at St. Anne's church, December 23.  Burial in the Riverside cemetery.

Obituary:  Plattsburgh Daily Republican (NY), 8 October 1936:  Forest - Mrs. Peter Peete, age 86 years, passed away at the home of her daughter Mrs. Clara Patnode Monday, Sept. 28, 1936.  She leaves to mourn her loss, five daughters, Mrs. Clara Patnode of Forest, Mrs. Emma Lafountain, Mrs. William Mayo of Clinton, Mass., Mrs. Donat Rivard of East Hampton, Mass., Mrs. Benjamin Nephew of Mooers; four sons, Mr. Alexander Peete, Woods Falls, Peter Peete, Tupper Lake, Joseph Peete, Brattleboro, Vt., William Peete, Pasadena, Calif.  The funeral services were held in St. Anne's Church at Mooers Forks on Thursday, Oct. 1.  Rev. Father Gilbert officiated at the ceremonies.  Those from out of town who attended the funeral were:  Mr. Joseph Peete, Brattleboro, Vermont, Mrs. Emma Lafountain, Mrs. William Mayo, Clinton, Mass., Mr. and Mrs. Frank Barcombe of Hemmingford, P.Q.

Obituaries for the children:

Peter Peete:  Tupper Lake Free Press (NY), Thursday, 3 July 1958:  Funeral services were held at 9 a.m. Monday at St. Alphonsus Church for Peter Peets, 87, who died at 3:50 p.m. Friday at his home, 18 Wawbeek ave.  He had been ill about three weeks.  Interment was in St. Alphonsus Cemetery here.  Born in Mooers July 2, 1870, he married Miss Eliza LaFountain in that village Oct. 30, 1891.  He was employed as a machinist in a cotton mill in Massachusetts for many years, moving to Tupper Lake in 1933 from Easthampton, Mass.  Mr. Peets was in the employ of the late A. B. Flanders, local contractor, until his retirement about 16 years ago.  Surviving are his wife, with whom he observed his 66th wedding anniversary last October; four daughters, Mrs. Alvina Mayou of Indian Orchard, Mass.; Mrs. Rose Fountain of Springfield, Mass.; Mrs. Nellie Liberty, Easthampton, Mass.; and Mrs. Mary Demars, Tupper Lake; five sons: Louis Peets of Springfield, Mass.; William and Alex Peets, Tupper Lake; Henry of Thompsonville, Conn.; and Edward Peets of Indian Orchard; four sisters, Mrs. Felinda Nephew of West Chazy; Mrs. Donat Rivard of Northampton, Mass.; Mrs Emma LaFountain and Mrs. Albina Mayou, both of Clinton, Mass.; two brothers, Alex Peets, Tupper Lake; and Joseph Peets of Brattleboro, Vt.; also 32 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Clara 'Aglae' Peete:  Plattsburgh Press-Republican (NY), Wednesday, 2 January 1974:  Altona:  Mrs. Clara Patnode, 94, died at the Clinton County Infirmary at Beekmantown Sunday evening.  She was born at Mooers Forks Oct. 10, 1879, the daughter of Peter and Clara (Hope) Peete.  Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Rose Gardner of Plattsburgh, Mrs. Ida Surprenant of Mooers Forks and Mrs. Hortense Peryea of Chazy Lake; three sons, William Patnode and Frank Patnode, both of Altona, and Edward Patnode of Massena; 35 grandchildren, and many great- grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.  Calling hours at Leazott Funeral Home here will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today.  Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.  The Rev. Charles Cotter will officiate.  Burial will be in Holy Angels Cemetery here.

Alexander Peete:  Tupper Lake Free Press (NY), Thursday, 31 October 1963:  Alexander Peets, 83, of 3 Emma st., died at 9:50 a.m. Sunday at Mercy General Hospital here after a long illness.  Funeral services were held at 9 a.m. Tuesday at St. Alphonsus Church.  Burial was in St. Alphonsus Cemetery here.  He was born at Mooers Forks Oct. 2, 1880, the son of Peter and Gladys Lesperance Peete.  Mr. Peete was married twice.  His first wife, Mary Wood Garlick, died at West Chazy.  His second wife, Leopoldine Fauvel Sequin, died here in 1953.  Mr. Peete had made his home in Tupper Lake for the past 25 years, and was employed at the Oval Wood Dish Corporation plant until his retirement.  Surviving are five sisters: Mrs. Clara Patnode of Beekmantown; Mrs. Emma LaFountain and Mrs. Albina Mayou, both of Clinton, Mass.; Mrs. Flanda Nephew of West Chazy, and Mrs. Mary Rivard of Northampton, Mass.; one brother, Joseph Peete of Clinton, Mass., and several nieces and nephews.
 

Emma Peete:  Worcester Telegram (Worcester, MA), Tuesday, 28 May 1974:  Clinton - Mrs. Emma (Peete) LaFountain, 94, of 354 Oak St. died Sunday in Clinton Hospital.  She was the widow of Joseph LaFountain.  She leaves two sons, Alexander and Edward LaFountain, both of Clinton; two daughters, Mrs. Rose Poissant and Mrs. Rita Miles, both of this town; a brother, Joseph Peete, also of Clinton; 16 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.  She was born in Mooers Forks, N.Y., daughter of Peter and Clair (Lesperance) Peete, and lived in Clinton for 75 years.  The funeral will be tomorrow from Robert J. McNally Funeral Home, with a Mass at 9 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church.  Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Lancaster.  Calling hours at the funeral home are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today.

Joseph Peete:  Worcester Telegram (Worcester, MA), Friday, 25 November 1977:  Clinton - Joseph Peete, 93, formerly of 1132 Main St., died yesterday in Clinton Hospital.  He retired in 1958 after 33 years as a foreman for a Brattleboro, Vt., cotton mill.  He was previously employed at the former Lancaster Mills here until 1925.  He leaves several nephews and nieces.  His wife, Mary A. (McGrail) Peete, died in 1968.  He was born in Mooresfield, N.Y., son of Peter and Clara (Hops) Peete.  The funeral will be held tomorrow from Philbin Funeral Home, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. John's Church.  Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Lancaster.  Calling hours at the funeral home are 7 to 9 p.m. today.

Philomena 'Philanda' Peete:  Plattsburgh Press-Republican (NY), Friday, 8 February 1974: Plattsburgh:  Mrs. Flanda M. Nephew, 87, of Plattsburgh died Thursday morning in the CVPH Medical Center.  Mrs. Nephew was born in Mooers Forks on Oct. 14,1886, the daughter of Peter and Clara (Hope) Peete.  She was the wife of the late Benjamin Nephew Sr.   She was a member of the Altar Rosary Society of St. Joseph's Church in West Chazy.  Survivors include three sons, Benjamin and Robert Nephew of West Chazy, and Arthur Nephew of Mooers; eight daughters, Mrs. Peter (Nellie) Burdo of Altona, Mrs. Margaret LaValley of Plattsburgh, Mrs. Alex (Rose) Garrand of Mooers, Mrs. Francis (Rita) Miller and Mrs. Walter (Bertha) Trombley of Plattsburgh, Mrs. Theresa Burdeau and Mrs. Harold (Irene) McComb of Mooers; a brother, Joseph Peete of Clinton, Mass.; a sister, Mrs. Emma Lafountain of Clinton, Mass.; 84 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.  Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the R. W. Walker Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9 a.m., at St. Joseph's Church in West Chazy.  Burial will be in Holy Angel's Cemetery in Altona in the spring.

Mary Agnes Peete:  Springfield Union (Springfield, MA), Wednesday, 10 May 1967:  Mrs. Donat J. Rivard.  Northampton - Mrs. Mary Peepe Rivard, widow of Donat J. Rivard, of 560 Silvester Rd., West Farms, died Tuesday in Hampshire County Sanitorium.  Born in Moores Forks, N.Y., she had been a resident of Northampton for the past 25 years.  Her husband died in April, 1965.  She leaves two sons, Donat A. and Harvey, both of Northampton; a brother, Joseph of Clinton; four sisters, Mrs. Clara Patenaude and Mrs. Flendl Nephew, both of New York, Mrs. Emma LaFountaine and Mrs. Elvina Mayo, both of Clinton; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.  The funeral will be held Friday at 8.15 at Czelusniak funeral home with a high requiem mass at 9 in St. Catherine's Church, Leeds.  Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Northampton.  Calling hours are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 today and Thursday.
