Obituary:  Times Picayune (New Orleans, LA), 13 February 1957 - At Metairie, La., on Tuesday, February 12, 1957, at 1:25 o'clock a.m., Pierre Pitre, beloved husband of the late Aldolphine Hebert; father of Mrs. Edward Cheramie, Mrs. Oliver Terrebonne Sr., Mrs. Ledger Duet, Mrs. Leon Duet, Arnold, Ecland, Elvin, Pierre Pitre Jr., and the late Leo Pitre; age 85 years; survived by 53 grandchildren, 63 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.  Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral, which will take place from the Falgout Funeral Homes, Inc., Galliano, La., on Wednesday, February 13, 1957, at 4 o'clock p.m.  Religious services at St. Joseph's Catholic church, Galliano, La.  Interment in Hebert cemetery, Galliano, La.  Falgout Funeral Homes, Inc., Galliano, La., in charge.

Arnold Joseph Pitre:  Lafourche Daily Comet (LA), Monday, 17 June 1985:  Funeral services were scheduled from Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano at 2:30 p.m. today for Arnold Joseph Pitre, 86, a native and resident of Galliano, who died in Raceland Saturday (15th) at 12:30 p.m.  He was the husband of Sedonia Williams Pitre; father of James Pitre, Joseph Pitre, Hazel Hunter and Nevitte Doucet; brother of Pierre Pitre Jr., Mrs. Lodgar Duet, Rose Terrebonne and Mrs. Azeme Duet.  He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.  He was preceded in death by a son, Tarro Pitre Sr.  Religious services were scheduled for  3 p.m. today at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow.  Interment will be in Williams Cemetery.  Falgout Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements.

Duet, 98, a native of Cut Off and resident of Jefferson, died at 6:20 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2007.  Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off.  Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in Cheramie Cemetery.  She is survived by one daughter, Judy Robichaux; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Lodgar Duet; her father, Pierre Pitre; one son, Lawson Duet; and one daughter, Lovida Duet.  She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  Samart-Mothe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Azemia Pitre:  Lafourche Daily Comet (LA), May 1996:  A Mass of Christian burial is scheduled to be celebrated at 1 p.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galliano for Azemia Pitre Duet, 84, a native and resident of Galliano who died at 2 a.m. Saturday, May 4 (1996).  Burial will be in Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano.  She was the mother of Gerald and Jimmy Duet, Bell Lefebvre, Levonda Cheramie, Janet Beard, Geraldine Curole and Donyln Guillot; sister of Mrs. Lodgar (Sally) Duet.  She is also survived by eight grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonce Duet Sr.; parents, Adolphine Hebert and Pierre J. Pitre Sr.; two sons, Leonce Jr. and Lindon Duet; four brothers, Arnold, Pierre Jr., Alvin and Ecland Pitre Sr.; three sisters, Edna Cheramie, Rosie Terrebonne and Lydia Pitre; and a grandson, Johnny Lefebvre.  She was a parishioner of St. Joseph.  Falgout Funeral Home of Galliano is in charge of arrangements.
