Pitre; sons, Michael "T-Black" Pitre; daughter, Nadine Pitre; brothers Leo "Blackie" Pitre, Claude Pitre and Ecland Pitre Jr.; brother, Harris Pitre; sisters, Lelia Pitre, Norma Pitre Gisclair, Velma "Sweet" Pitre and Inez Pitre Richoux. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. He was a World War II veteran and recipient of the Purple Heart Award. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was retired. His hobbies were fishing, trawling and handyman work.
