Mark Marius Pitre:  Times Picayune (New Orleans, LA), Wednesday, 28 August 2013:  Mark Marius Pitre passed away on Monday, August 26, 2013 at the age of 91.  He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Lurline Hymel Pitre, his daughter Sheila Hill (Michael), his sons Nathan (Tam), Lowell (Sheri), and daughter-in-law Karen Pitre.  He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Derin Pitre (Dana), Chantelle Floyd (Jeremy), Daniel Hill (Jennifer), Michelle Miller, Ryan Hill (Aimee), Christine Ford, Heather Turner (Tim), Mark Pitre and 13 great-grandchildren.  Mark was born on December 13, 1921 to his parents the late Ida and Marius Pitre.  He was preceded in death by his son, Aaron Pitre and his brothers, Morris (Nora), Harry (Annabelle), Leo (Thelma) and Herbert (Doris) Pitre.  Mark was a life long resident of Westwego, LA, graduate of Westwego High School and a parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church.  He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II, Pacific Theater and served on the USS Lunga Point (CVE-94).  He retired from Taylor-Seidenbach, Inc.  Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church, Westwego, LA on Friday, August 30, 2013 at noon.  Interment, Our Lady of Prompt Succor Mausoleum, Westwego, LA.  Parlors will be open at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd, Marrero, LA on Friday from 9 AM until 11:30 AM.  Donations in Mark's memory may be made to the American Heart Association, 110 Veterans Memorial Blvd, Suite 160, Metairie, LA 70005.
