Obituary:  Times Picayune (New Orleans, LA), 23 October 1972:  Julie Autin Pitre, on Sunday, October 22, 1972, at 4:00 o'clock a.m.; wife of the late Leopold Pitre; mother of Alces and Nocess Pitre, Mrs. Victoria Jambon, Mrs. Alice Plaisance, Mrs. Violet Hebert and the late John Pitre, age 90 years; a native of Cut Off, La.  Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral.  Services from the Falgout Funeral Home, Galliano, La., on Monday, October 23, 1972, at 3:00 o'clock p.m.  Religious services at St. Joseph Catholic Church.  Interment Cheramie Cemetery.  Visitation until funeral time Monday.

Angelle Violette Pitre:  Lafourche Daily Comet (LA):  A religious service is scheduled for 3 p.m. today at United Methodist Church in Golden Meadow for Violet Pitre Hebert, 95, a native of Galliano and resident of Houma, who died at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 23 (1996).  Burial will be in Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano.  She was the sister of Victoria P. Jambon.  She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by Ecton Pierre Hebert; parents, Leopold and Julie Autin Pitre; four sons, Whitney, Sidney, James and Joseph Hebert; a daughter, Anna Adams; three brothers, Alcess, Nocess and John Pitre; a sister, Alice Plaisance; and a grandchild.  Falgout Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of arrangements.

 

Alces Paul Pitre:  Lafourche Daily Comet (LA), 19 April 1987:  A memorial mass was held at 11 a.m. today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off for Alces Paul Pitre, 83, a native of Galliano and resident of Cut Off, who died at 1 p.m. Friday (17th).  Funeral services were held Saturday.  Burial was in the church cemetery.  He was the husband of Josephine Pitre; and father of Constant "Bill" Pitre.  He is also survived by five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leopold Pitre.  Arrangements were by Falgout Funeral Home, Galliano.

 

Noces Pierre Pitre:  Times Picayune (New Orleans, LA), 24 February 1973:  Mr. Noces Pitre died in Galliano, La., on Thursday, February 22, 1973, at 3:35 o'clock p.m., beloved husband of Sedonia Cheramie Pitre; father of Mrs. Michael Terrebonne and Leo Paul Pitre and Benton Pitre; 1 stepson Nota Vizier; brother of Alces Pitre and Mrs. Norman Plaisance, Mrs. Reno Jambon, Mrs. Hector Hebert and the late John Pitre; also survived by 16 grandchildren; age 68 years; a native and a resident of Galliano, La.  Residents and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services from Falgout Funeral Home, Galliano, La., on Saturday, February 24, 1973, at 9:30 o'clock a.m., religious services at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, Golden Meadow, La., at 10 o'clock a.m.  Interment in Cheramie Cemetery.  Falgout Funeral Home, Inc., Galliano, La., in charge of arrangements.

 

Victoria Marie Pitre:  Lafourche Daily Comet (LA):  Victoria Marie Pitre Jambon, 97, a native and resident of Galliano, died at 9:38 p.m. May 7, 2003.  Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galliano.  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 3 p.m. Friday at the church, with burial at Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano.  She is survived by her sons, Larry Jambon of Youngsville and Ernest Jambon of Galliano; grandchildren, Judy, Alan, Teena, Michael, Keiron and John Jambon and Yvette Ledet; 11 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; and four step-great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Reno Jambon; parents, Leopold and Julie Autin Pitre; brothers, Alces, Nocess and John Pitre; and sisters, Violet Hebert and Alice Plaisance.

Alice Mary Pitre:  Lafourche Daily Comet (LA):  A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galliano for Alice Mary Pitre Plaisance, 72, a native of Lafourche Parish and resident of Galliano, who died at 3:15 p.m. Thursday (18 Feb 1993).  Interment was in the Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano.  She was the wife of Norman A. Plaisance; mother of Norman A. Plaisance Jr. and Karen Potter Auzston; sister of Victoria Jambon and Violet Hebert.  She is also survived by four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.  She was preceded in death by her first husband, Earl Dale Potter; parents, Leopold and Julie Autin Pitre; and three brothers, Alces, Neces, and John Pitre.  Falgout Funeral Home of Galliano was in charge of the arrangements.
