Burial will be in Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano. She was the sister of Victoria P. Jambon. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by Ecton Pierre Hebert; parents, Leopold and Julie Autin Pitre; four sons, Whitney, Sidney, James and Joseph Hebert; a daughter, Anna Adams; three brothers, Alcess, Nocess and John Pitre; a sister, Alice Plaisance; and a grandchild. Falgout Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
Alces Paul Pitre: Lafourche Daily Comet (LA), 19 April 1987: A memorial mass was held at 11 a.m. today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off for Alces Paul Pitre, 83, a native of Galliano and resident of Cut Off, who died at 1 p.m. Friday (17th). Funeral services were held Saturday. Burial was in the church cemetery. He was the husband of Josephine Pitre; and father of Constant "Bill" Pitre. He is also survived by five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leopold Pitre. Arrangements were by Falgout Funeral Home, Galliano.
