Obituary:  Times Picayune (New Orleans, LA), Saturday, 24 February 1973:  Mr. Noces Pitre died in Galliano, La., on Thursday, February 22, 1973, at 3:35 o'clock p.m., beloved husband of Sedonia Cheramie Pitre; father of Mrs. Michael Terrebonne and Leo Paul Pitre and Benton Pitre; 1 stepson Nota Vizier; brother of Alces Pitre and Mrs. Norman Plaisance, Mrs. Reno Jambon, Mrs. Hector Hebert and the late John Pitre; also survived by 16 grandchildren; age 68 years; a native and a resident of Galliano, La.  Residents and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services from Falgout Funeral Home, Galliano, La., on Saturday, February 24, 1973, at 9:30 o'clock a.m., religious services at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, Golden Meadow, La., at 10 o'clock a.m.  Interment in Cheramie Cemetery.  Falgout Funeral Home, Inc., Galliano, La., in charge of arrangements.

Obituary:  Lafourche Daily Comet (LA):  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow for Sidonia C. Pitre, 90, a native of Golden Meadow and resident of Cut Off, who died at 10:20 a.m. Monday, Feb. 27 (1995).  Burial will be in Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano.  Visitation will be from 3 to 11 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. until Funeral time Wednesday at Falgout Funeral Home, Galliano.  She was the mother of Benton and Leo Paul Pitre and Delphine P. Terrebonne; sister of Morris Cheramie.  She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, five step grandchildren and eight step great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by two husbands Rhenhart Vizier (first marriage) and Nocess Pitre; her parents, Olucien and Veronica Pitre Cheramie; one son, Nolty Vizier; one step daughter, Laura Pitre; brothers Alex, Levy, Oris, Alcess and Benton Cheramie; sisters Liska C. Callais, Angelle C. Gaspard, and Julia C. Williams. F algout Funeral Home, Galliano, is in charge of arrangements.

Delphine Pitre:  Falgout Funeral Home (LA):  Delphine "Nin" Terrebonne, 91, a native of Golden Meadow and resident of Larose, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2022, peacefully at home with family by her side.  Visitation will be held at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow on Wednesday December 28th from 9:30 am until service time.  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am with burial following in Hebert Cemetery.  Delphine is survived by her daughter, Linda Hebert; granddaughter, Randi Bellanger (Travis); great-granddaughter, Karah Norville; brother, Benton Pitre (Linda) and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael "Mitch" Terrebonne; son, Michael "Mike" Terrebonne; parents, Nocess and Sedonia C. Pitre; son-in-law, Randy Hebert; grandson-in-law, Jessy Guidry; brothers; Nolta Vizier, Leo Paul Pitre; sister, Laura Pitre; sisters-in-law, Laura Mae Pitre, Isabel Vizier and in-laws, Dider and Leonice C. Terrebonne.  The family would like to thank Ochsner St. Anne Hospital and Notre Dame Hospice for their care.  Falgout Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.

 

Leo Paul Pitre:  Lafourche Daily Comet (LA):  Leo Paul "T-Paul" Pitre, 73, a native of Golden Meadow and resident of
Galliano, died at 2:50 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2007.  Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to funeral time Friday at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off.  Religious service will be at noon Friday at the funeral home, with burial in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Cut Off.  He is survived by two sons, David P. Pitre and James J. Pitre; five daughters, Sarah P. Spurr, Ann M. Pitre, Jane P. Galjour, Margaret P. Terrebonne and Tina P. Hebert; one brother, Benton Pitre; one sister, Delphine "Nin" Terrebonne; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Laura Mae Curole Pitre; his parents, Nocess and Sedonia C. Pitre; one grandson, Nicholas Pitre; and one half-brother, Nolty Vizier.  He was a commercial fisherman and enjoyed working on cars, his boat, welding and dancing.  Samart-Mothe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
