Obituary: Lafourche Daily Comet (LA), Sunday, 19 April 1987:  A memorial mass was held at 11 a.m. today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off for Alces Paul Pitre, 83, a native of Galliano and resident of Cut Off, who died at 1 p.m. Friday (17th).  Funeral services were held Saturday.  Burial was in the church cemetery.  He was the husband of Josephine Pitre; and father of Constant "Bill" Pitre.  He is also survived by five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leopold Pitre.  Arrangements were by Falgout Funeral Home, Galliano.

Obituary:  Lafourche Daily Comet (LA):  Josephine A. Pitre, 96, a native and resident of Cut Off, died at 4:30 a.m. Oct. 20, 2003.  Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off.  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial at the church cemetery.  She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Constant "Bill" and Earline Terrebonne Pitre; grandchildren, Laura Wagner, Clara McDonald, Billy Pitre, Celeste Molaison and Danny Pitre; seven great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchild, Derin Doucet.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Alces Pitre; parents, Constant and Amy Lorraine Pitre; brother, Orleans A. Pitre; and sisters, Marceline L. Guidry and Alice P. Pierce.

Constant Antoine 'Bill' Pitre:  Landry's Funeral Home (LA), November 18, 1929 - June 28, 2023:  Constant Antoine "Bill" Pitre, a native of Cut Off, passed away on June 28, 2023, at the age of 93.  A visitation will be held in his honor on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Cut Off, Louisiana from 9:00 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am.  The burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Cut Off, Louisiana.  He is survived by his children, Laura Pitre Wagner, Clara Pitre McDonald, Billy Pitre (Emilie), Celeste Pitre Molaison (Stephen) and Danny Pitre; his grandchildren Erin Wagner Doucet (Dallas), Lauren Wagner Raborn (Donnie), Paul McDonald (Katie), Jeffrey McDonald (Amy), Claire Molaison Hotard (Trey), Garrett Molaison, and Samuel Picou Pitre; great-grandchildren Derin Doucet, Dominic Doucet, Dawson Doucet, William Raborn, Laurel Raborn, Katherine Raborn, Marshall McDonald, James Hotard and Finley McDonald.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Earline Terrebonne Pitre; parents, Alces Paul Pitre and Josephine Pitre Pitre, and son-in-law Henry "Hank" Wagner.  He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Eucharistic Minister and served as an Altar Server for many years at Sacred Heart Church.  He enjoyed making creative bird houses and drawing birds.  Bill worked for over 30 years at the Cut Off Drug Store & Clinic.  The family would like to thank the staff at St. Joseph Manor, Southeast Louisiana Veterans Home and Serenity Hospice for the care they gave to him.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Research Hospital.  Landry's Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
