Marie Celeste Pitre (Marriage): The Lafourche Comet (Thibodaux, LA), Thursday, 12 May 1892: The occasion presents itself for me to inform you that the grandest wedding that ever took place way down the Bayou was celebrated last Saturday at Mr. Filix Hebert's. His eldest son married Miss Pitre, daughter of Alidor Pitre. Rev. Kochnen performed the ceremony. A dinner was given to about 200 persons, and dancing was kept up all night without a fuss.
