Obituary:  Times Picayune (New Orleans, LA), Wednesday, 19 January 1938 - On Tuesday evening, January 18, 1938, at 7:30 o'clock, Lawless Pitre, in his 67th year, of 2317 Cleveland avenue, beloved husband of Lydia Hebert, father of Mrs. L.A. Russell, Mrs. Charles Siggio, Mrs. Fred Brink, Mrs. Joseph Balasa, Mrs. Frank Keith, Samson J. and Ervin Pitre, stepbrother of Arthur Pitre, a native and a resident of this city.  Relatives and friends of the family, employees of Sewerage and Water Board, Langsfield Box Factory, Elmer Candy Company, the G.H. & W. Cleaners, members and Auxiliary of Cruiser New Orleans Ship 2783, V.F.W. and St. Ignatius' and St. Margaret's Daughters, are invited to attend the funeral, which will take place from the funeral home of Pat J. Pitre, mother of Mrs. Edna Russell, Mrs. Agnes Siggio, Mrs. Grace Delcuze, Mrs. Verna Brink, Mrs. Adeline Pitre Sousse and the late Samson and Ervin Pitre, daughter of the late Ozema Hebert and Adelina Ledet, sister of Mrs. Mamie Warner and the late Emile and Milton Hebert, Mrs. Oza Ford and Mrs. Ernestine Pitre; survived by 16 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great-grandchildren; also survived by nieces and nephews; age 92 years; a native of Lafourche Parish, Louisiana, and a resident of this city for the past 56 years.  Relatives and friends of the family, also officers and members of St. Margaret's Daughters and Deaf Mute Societies, are invited to attend the funeral.
