Obituary: The Times Democrat (New Orleans, LA), Friday, 31 January 1913: Houma, La., Jan. 30 - Simeon Pitre, an old man, was found dead in bed at his residence in Daigleville, a suburb of Houma. He was seventy years old, and it is thought he died of apoplexy.

Joseph Albert Pitre: The Courier (Houma, LA), Friday, 18 June 1954: Albert Joseph Pitre, 84, died at the Evans Nursing home in New Orleans at 3:20 a.m., June 14, following an extended long illness. Funeral services were conducted at 9 a.m. Tuesday from the First National funeral home to the church to Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary with interment in Holy Rosary cemetery. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Ernest Bonvillian of Houma.

Funeral services were conducted from the Chauvin Funeral home to the church of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary, Daigleville, at 3:30 p.m. wednesday, November 7, with interment in St. Francis de Sales cemetery. He is survived by one son and two daughters.

Babin; three sons, Gilton, Willis and Sylvestre; and five daughters,
Mrs. Odressie Pitre, Bessie, Lizzie, Agnes and Helen. Interment
will be in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements are by the Chauvin
Funeral Home.
