Mr. Pete was born in New Orleans and lived in Kenner for the past 36 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include three sons, Robert Raymond Pete of Bossier City, Richard Paul and Jim Perry Pete; two daughters, Sandra P. Gillespie of Covington and Sheila Gager of Baton Rouge; five brothers, Roy A. Pete of Hickory, Miss., Harold J. Pete of Kentwood; Alfred F. Pete of Venice, and Edward J. and William J. Pete, both of Metairie; a sister, Cherie M. Norman of Baton Rouge; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held Monday at 4 p.m. at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, Metairie. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m.
