Obituary: The Times Picayune (New Orleans, LA), Monday, 8 February 2016: Doris Marie Melancon Pete, 88, a longtime resident of the Westbank of New Orleans passed away Saturday, February 6, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. Doris is survived by her 2 daughters, Doris "Dodie" Pete Scarabin (the late Randolph "Ruggy" Sr.) and Donna Pete Clade (Jerry); six grandchildren, Stephen Pete (Melissa), Jennifer Pete Jernigan (Randy Sr.), Randolph Scarabin, Jr. (Denice), Jessica Scarabin, Tiffany Clade Giordano (Cameron), and Amy Clade Wismer (Joshua); 7 great-grandchildren, Randy Jr., Lauren, Daniel, Molly, Harper, Peyton, and Isabella; 3 brothers, Chester Melancon (Mary), Raymond Melancon (Betty) and Loyman Melancon (Mamie); and her daughter-in-law, Charlotte Pete. Doris will also be sadly missed by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Doris was preceded in death by her loving husband, Rodney "Rudy" Casbon; parents, Jules & Odile Melancon; son, Scott C. Pete, Jr.; and her sister, Linda Melancon Thibodaux (Henry). Doris retired after 30 years of service with the Jefferson Parish Recreational Department. She also retired after 25 years of service with the Marrero Lion's Home. She was an active member of Nicholson Golden Agers, The Marrero Lion's Club, and The Red Hat Society. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation and funeral service on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, Marrero. The visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. until funeral time. The Mass will begin at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be held at a later date.

Donna Pete: Audubon Funeral Home (Slidell,
LA), 6 December 2022: Donna Pete Clade, of Slidell, Louisiana,
passed away on November 25, 2022 at the age of 67. She was a native of
Metairie, Louisiana, born on January 30, 1955 to her loving parents, the late
Scott Charles Pete Sr. and Doris Melancon Pete. Donna is the cherished
mother of Tiffany Clade Giordano (Cameron Giordano) and Amy Clade Wismer
(Joshua Wismer); proud grandmother of Harper Rose Wismer; caring
sister of Dodie Pete Scarabin and the late Scott Charles Pete Jr.; and
beloved aunt of Stephen Pete, Jennifer Pete Jernigan, Randy Scarabin, and the
late Jessica Scarabin. She is also survived by her former husband,
Gerard Gregg Clade, and a host of extended family members and friends whom
she loved dearly. Donna was a talented floral designer and a devoted
homemaker. She enjoyed fishing, traveling, and decorating. Donna
bravely fought multiple sclerosis for over 40 years. She will be greatly
missed by all who knew and loved her. Relatives and friends are invited to
attend a visitation on Saturday, January 14, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
at Audubon Funeral Home in Slidell. A funeral service will begin in the
chapel at 1:00.
