Marie Jane Pitre:  The Sault Star (Sault St. Marie, ONT), Thursday, 10 January 1963Died, Daigle, Mrs. Mary Jane - At the home of her son, 10 McKinley Street, Wawa, Ontario, Tuesday, January 8, Mrs. Mary Jane Daigle, aged 90, dear mother of Mrs. Louise Best and Ben Daigle of Wawa and Mrs. Bridget Blanchard, Bathurst, New Brunswick.  Resting at the Hagan Funeral Home in Bathurst, N.B., Friday, January 11 from 7 p.m.  Funeral Saturday, January 12 at 9 a.m. from Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Rev. J. Roche officiating.  Interment in Holy Family Cemetery, West Bathurst.

 

Brigitte PitreThe Times Transcript (Moncton, NB), Saturday, 10 April 1976:  Bathurst - The death of Mrs. Bridget Hachey, 450 Princess Drive occurred Friday at Chaleur General Hospital after a lengthy illness.  She was 85.  Born in South Tetagouche, she was the former Bridget Pitre, a daughter of the late John and Margaret (Legacy) Pitre.  She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.  Following her marriage she moved to Bathurst and lived here since that time.  Her first husband, Thomas Daigle and her second husband Joseph J. Hachey both died previously.  She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Bridget Garrett of Bathurst and Mrs. Val Lanteigne (Josephine) of Red Rock, Ont.; three sons, John and Aurele of Bathurst and Lionel of Bathurst; three step-daughters, Mrs. Catherine Boucher of Bathurst, Mrs. Alice Schrier of Montreal and Mrs. Theresa Belanger of Windsor, Ont.; two step-sons, Stan Hachey of Bathurst and Rudolph Hachey of Dolbeau, Que.; 16 grandchildren; 21 step-grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.  The body is resting at Hatton's funeral home with funeral mass to be celebrated Monday at Holy Family Church at 4 p.m.  Entombment will be in the Roman Catholic cemetery.
