Obituaries for the children:

Joseph Pitre:  Charlottetown Guardian (PEI), Thursday, 17 September 1931:  Mr. Joseph J. Peters - The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital on Aug. 26th, of Joseph J. Peters, of Howlan, in his 63rd year of his age.  He entered the hospital on Aug. 10th for what he supposed a slight operation, but it proved to be more serious than was expected.  Mr. Peters was a native of Bloomfield and followed the fishing industry in Miminegash till last year, when his health gave away and then moved to Howlan.  He was highly esteemed by a large circle of friends who mourn his passing away.  The remains were taken to his home on Thursday morning.  The funeral, which was well attended by friends from far and near, took place on August 28th, to St. Anthony's Church, Bloomfield, Rev. J. A. Gaudet officiating at the church and grave.  He leaves to mourn his widow, nee Mary Martin, one daughter, (Marie), Mrs. Joseph Le Peters, Reading, Mass., who was unable to attend the funeral; a son Henry, who predeceased him 14 years ago, having died in the army during the Great War.  He also leaves an adopted son Patrick, also three brothers, Cyrus, of Duvar, Alfred and Leon of Bloomfield, and three sisters, Mrs. Mary Stewart, of Waltham, Mass.; Mrs. Bruno Doiron, North Rustico; Mrs. Moses Doiron, Reading, Mass.  The pall bearers were: Capt. John R. Perry, St. Louis; Leon Perry, St. Louis; Joseph Wedge, St. Louis; John P. Peters, St. Louis; Joseph Gallant, Ebbsfleet; Paul Pineau, Bloomfield.

 

Alpheus Peters:  Pioneer, 1936:  Alfred Pitre - The death ocurred at Bloomfield on Feb. 17 of Alfred Pitre, a highly respected resident of that place.  The deceased had been in his usual health, but on Saturday, Feb. 8th, he was seized with pneumonia from which he failed to rally.  The late Mr. Pitre was born at Bloomfield 63 years ago.  He was a life long resident of that community, a man of genial good nature and had a smile and kind word for everybody.  He leaves to mourn his widow (nee Melanie Martin) five daughters and four sons, Mrs. Anthony Perry, Fortune Cove; Mrs. Tilman Arsenault, Mrs. Peter Arsenault, Mrs. Denis Bernard, Carolyn, all of Massachusetts, and Raymond, Martin, Francis and Paul on the homestead; also one brother, Leon of Bloomfield; three sisters, Mrs. Bruno Doiron, North Rustico; Mrs. Moses Doiron and Mrs. Mary Stewart of Massachusetts.  The funeral service was conducted by Rev. J.A. Gaudet at St. Anthony's Church and Cemetery.  The pall bearers were Messrs. Bruno Doiron, Prosper Gallant, Bernard Saunders, Fidele Peters, Alban Craswell and John Gallant.

 

Matilda Peters:  Charlottetown Guardian (PEI), Wednesday, 30 June 1948:  Funeral at North Rustico - The funeral of Mrs. Bruno Doiron took place Monday morning at 9 o'clock from her late residence in North Rustico to Stella Maris Church where Requiem High Mass was celebrated by the pastor Rev. Eric Robin who also conducted the service at the grave.  Present in the sanctuary was Rev. E. Buote.  The pallbearers, six sons of the deceased, were: Daniel J., Eugene A., Wilfred L., Leo R., Edmund J., and J. Arthur Doiron.  Interment was in the Church Cemetery.

 

Caroline Pitre:  The Boston Globe (Boston, MA), Friday, 25 April 1947:  Doiron - In Reading, April 24, Caroline (nee Peters), beloved wife of Moses Doiron.  Funeral from her late residence, 132 Village st., Monday, April 28, at 8:15.  Requiem High Mass at St. Agnes' Church at 9.  Relatives and friends invited.
